Six The Hard Way
''Six the Hard Way'' is the first EP by crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies, released on November 17, 1998. Until 2018's '' Get Your Fight On!'', this was the only EP the band had released. The record features two live recordings and four new tracks. Two of the new tracks, "Freedumb" and "Cyco Vision", went on to appear on their next album the following year. Suicidal Tendencies
Suicidal Tendencies is an American crossover thrash band formed in 1980 in Venice in Los Angeles, California by vocalist Mike Muir. Muir is the only remaining original member of the band. Along with D.R.I., Corrosion of Conformity, and Stormtroopers of Death, the band is often credited as one of "the fathers of crossover thrash". Their current lineup includes Muir, guitarists Dean Pleasants and Ben Weinman, bassist Ra Díaz and drummer Dave Lombardo. ''Freedumb'' is a studio album by American crossover band Suicidal Tendencies. It was released in 1999 on Suicidal Records. The tracks are rawer than the funk-influenced thrash metal direction they were taking before the hiatus. The album's cover art is a reference to the photo '' Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima'' taken during World War II. Reception ''CMJ New Music Report'' wrote that the songs "display thousand-mile-an-hour, classic hardcore guitar assaults." ''Get Your Fight On!'' is the second EP by the American crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies, which was released on March 9, 2018. The EP, which preceded the band's then-upcoming thirteenth studio album '' Still Cyco Punk After All These Years'' by six months, is their first since 1998's ''Six the Hard Way'', while its release marks a lineup of Suicidal Tendencies only the second in the band's history to record more than one record together. However, guitarist Jeff Pogan would leave the band shortly after its release. In addition to four new songs (including a cover of the Stooges' "I Got a Right"), the EP contains re-recordings of "Nothing to Lose" and "Ain't Mess'n Around" – both taken from Cyco Miko's 1996 solo album '' Lost My Brain! A phonograph record (also known as a gramophone record, especially in British English), or simply a record, is an analog sound storage medium in the form of a flat disc with an inscribed, modulated spiral groove. Michael Allen Muir (born March 14, 1963) is an American singer who is the lead vocalist and the only sole continuous member of Los Angeles-based bands Suicidal Tendencies, Los Cycos, and Infectious Grooves. He has also released several solo albums under his nickname Cyco Miko. Muir's trademark is wearing bandanas, jerseys with the number 13, and hats with block-style letters that read "suicidal". Early life Born in Venice, Los Angeles, and raised in Santa Monica, Mike Muir is the younger brother of Jim Muir of the Dogtown skateboarding team. Dean Pleasants (born May 18, 1965) is an American guitarist. Mike Clark (born October 28, 1964) is an American heavy metal and punk rock guitarist. Brooks Wackerman (born February 15, 1977) is an American musician. He is the current drummer of heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold, which he joined in 2015.
