Six Days Of Herning
The Six Days of Herning was a six-day track cycling race held annually in the Messecenter Herning, Denmark. The first Six Days of Herning, contested in 1974, were won by Léo Duyndam and Ole Ritter. Fourteen editions took place: 10 from 1974 to 1983 and 4 from 1995 to 1998. Gert Frank Gert Frank (15 March 1956 – 19 January 2019) was a cyclist and Olympic medalist from Denmark. Jimmi Madsen
Jimmi Madsen (born 4 January 1969) is a Danish former cyclist who raced professionally from 1993 to 2004. He rode for Denmark on the track in four Olympic Games: 1988, 1992, 1996 and 2000. He won the bronze medal in the Men's team pursuit in the 1992 Summer Olympics. Madsen was also part of the Danish squad that took the bronze in the team pursuit at the 1993 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. Jørgen Marcussen
Jørgen Marcussen (born 15 May 1950) is a former Danish racing cyclist. He competed, as an amateur, in the individual road race and team time trial events at the 1972 Summer Olympics. As an amateur he also became national champion in team time trial in 1970, and in individual time trial in 1975. From 1976 he rode as a professional, predominantly on less prominent teams. In the 1978 UCI Road World Championships Jørgen Marcussen created an upset by winning a bronze medal, behind Gerrie Knetemann and Francesco Moser. He also managed to finish 4th overall in the 1981 Vuelta a España, which was the best result by a Dane in a Grand tour at the time. Horst Schütz (born 8 May 1951 in Kandel) is a retired German cyclist who won the UCI Motor-paced World Championships in 1984. Background Schütz was a versatile cyclist. In 1975 he won two national titles among amateurs in madison and in team time trial. In 1976 he turned professional and won a national title in the sprint.
