Sivayya (1998 Film)
''Sivayya'' () is a 1998 Indian Telugu action drama film directed by Suresh Varma. The film stars Rajasekhar, Sanghavi, Monica Bedi and Srihari. The film was released on 27 March 1998. It was later dubbed in Tamil as ''Thalaiva''. It was also remade in Hindi as ''Aaghaaz''. In Kannada as Dandanayaka Starring Devaraj. Plot A villager, Sivayya goes to the city for the sake of his sister's education. The friendly neighborhood sweet shop owner has a daughter Sirisha, who promptly falls in love with Sivayya impressed by our hero's muscular features. Now the local market is under the control of the evil Jyothi and his equally evil brother Poorna. Sivayya clashes with them and attempts to terminate their terror. But thanks to a backstabbing friend, his cause is doubted. And in the midst of much mindless violence, which leaves our Sivayya half-dead, his sister is raped by these rowdies. Posani Krishna Murali
Posani Krishna Murali (born 22 January 1958) is an Indian screenwriter, actor, director and producer who primarily works in Telugu cinema. He worked as a writer for over 150 Telugu films and directed a number of films. In 2009, he also contested in Andhra Pradesh state legislative assembly elections from Chilakaluripet constituency but lost the elections. Early life and education Posani was born on 22 January 1958 in Pedakakani, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. His father Posani Subba Rao worked as a small-time employee in Pedakakani and his mother was a housewife. He has an elder sister Rajyalakshmi and a younger sister Prameela. Chittajallu Krishnaveni (born 24 December 1924), often known as C. Krishnaveni or simply Krishnaveni, is an Indian Telugu language actress, producer and playback singer. Life and career Krishnaveni hails from Pangidi, West Godavari dist. AP, India. She was a drama artist before entering the film industry. Her debut was in the film ''Anasuya'' (1936) as a child artist. Her father Krishna Rao was a doctor. She moved to Chennai in 1939 as she began to get several offers to act in Telugu films.
