''Situation'' is a 2007 studio album by Canadian hip hop musician Buck 65. It is a concept album based around the year 1957. It peaked at number 31 on '' Billboard''s Heatseekers Albums chart. At the 2008 Juno Awards, Skratch Bastid was nominated as Producer of the Year for his work on the album. Critical reception ''Situation'' has received generally favorable reviews from critics. Metacritic gave the album a score of 68/100, based on 21 reviews. Alex Macpherson of ''The Guardian'' gave the album 2 stars out of 5, saying: "There are isolated moments of beauty - the spare piano loop of 'Ho-Boys', though nothing new, is evocative and effective - but little sticks in the mind or stimulates the emotions." Buck 65
Richard Terfry (born March 4, 1972), better known by his stage name Buck 65, is a Canadian alternative hip hop artist. Underpinned by an extensive background in abstract hip hop, his more recent music has extensively incorporated blues, country, rock, folk and avant-garde influences. Terfry is also a radio host, hosting the weekday ''Drive'' show on CBC Music since September 2, 2008. In addition, he once hosted a weekday program on CBC Radio 3's web radio station. K-os
Kevin Brereton (born February 20, 1972), better known by his stage name k-os (; "chaos"), is a Canadian alternative rapper, singer, songwriter and producer. His given name may also be cited as Kheaven, a spelling he later adopted. The alias "k-os", spelled with a lower case "k", was intended to be less aggressive than the pseudonyms of other rappers whose names were all upper case, such as KRS-One. It is an acronym for " Knowledge of Self", although in a later interview he said that it originally stood for "Kevin's Original Sound". k-os' music incorporates a wide variety of music genres, including rap, funk, rock, and reggae. Roland "Rollie" Pemberton, better known by his stage name Cadence Weapon, is a Canadian-American rapper based in Toronto, Ontario. Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Pemberton released his first album, ''Breaking Kayfabe'', in 2005 with positive reviews. The Juno Awards of 2008 were held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on the weekend ending 6 April 2008. Top Heatseekers are "Breaking and Entering" music charts issued weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine. The Heatseekers Albums and the Heatseekers Songs charts were introduced by ''Billboard'' in 1991 with the purpose of highlighting the sales by new and developing musical recording artists. The National Music Centre (NMC; french: Centre nationale de musique) is a non-profit museum and performance venue located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
