Albert Capellani
Albert Capellani (23 August 1874 – 26 September 1931) was a French film director and screenwriter of the silent film, silent era. He directed films between 1905 and 1922. One of his brothers was the actor-sculptor Paul Capellani, and another, film director Roger Capellani. Biography Albert Capellani born in Paris in 1874. His father was a banker, and Capellani worked as a bank employee in his early years. Capellani, along with his brother Paul, studied acting under Charles le Bargy at the Conservatoire de Paris. Starting his career as an actor, he worked with the director André Antoine at the Théâtre Libre and the Odéon. He then began directing plays for the Odéon, working alongside the lauded actor and director Firmin Gémier. In 1903, he became the head of the Alhambra (Paris), Alhambra music hall in Paris. Robert Schable
Robert Schable (August 31, 1873 – July 7, 1947) was an American stage and screen actor as well as a stage manager from Hamilton, Ohio. Biography A longtime stage player from the Charles Frohman company since the 1890s, Schable began in silent films in 1919. In films he often played comedic, character parts or men with a European flair. He died, from Ptomaine poisoning, in Hollywood in 1947. Alternately ''IMDb'' has his death as a suicide. Two films Schable appeared in have been restored, ''Sherlock Holmes'' (1922) and ''The Man and the Moment'' (1929). Frances Miller
Frances Miller (sometimes credited as Frances Grant or Frances Miller Grant) was an American actress who worked extensively during Hollywood's silent era. Like many black actresses of her time, she was often cast in " mammy" roles. Biography Miller may have been born in Kansas City, Missouri, and she later resided in Manhattan and Atlanta. She began appearing in films around 1911, although she may not have been credited for her earliest appearances. She seems to have retired by the early 1930s. She married Larry Grant in 1918, and had a son (who also appeared in films) named George Washington. Kathleen Norris
Kathleen Thompson Norris (July 16, 1880 – January 18, 1966) was an American novelist and newspaper columnist. She was one of the most widely read and highest paid female writers in the United States for nearly fifty years, from 1911 to 1959. Norris was a prolific writer who wrote 93 novels, many of which became best sellers. Her stories appeared frequently in the popular press of the day, including ''The Atlantic'', ''The American Magazine'', ''McClure's'', '' Everybody's'', '' Ladies' Home Journal'', and ''Woman's Home Companion''.
