AFK Sistema PAO is a large Russian conglomerate company, founded by Vladimir Yevtushenkov, who was chairman of the corporation's board of directors until 2022. In April, Yevtushenkov's shareholding in Sistema has decreased to 49.2%, and he also stepped down from Sistema's board. Sistema has its headquarters in Moscow. The company's global depository receipts (GDRs) are traded on the London Stock Exchange (ticker symbol ). Vladimir Yevtushenkov
Vladimir Petrovich Yevtushenkov (russian: Владимир Петрович Евтушенков; born 25 September 1948) is a Russian billionaire business oligarch. He is the majority owner (49.2%) and former сhairman of Sistema. As a member of the Russian-Saudi Economic Council and as chairman since 2002 of both the Russian side of the Russian-Saudi and Russian-Arab Business Councils which are part of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), he maintains very close ties to both Saudi Arabia and the Arab world. He is allegedly close to Serhiy Taruta, Viktor Yanukovych and Mykola Bilokon. Early life Yevtushenkov has master's degrees in chemistry (1973, from D. Mobile TeleSystems India (MTS India) was a telecommunications company headquartered in Delhi, India. It was a joint venture and Indian subsidiary of the Russian mobile operator MTS. The company provided wireless voice, broadband Internet, messaging and data services in India. Evgeny Grigorievich Novitsky (russian: Евге́ний Григо́рьевич Нови́цкий) is a Russian engineer and entrepreneur, former president of the large AFK Sistema conglomerate which holds many diversified businesses. He is also the chairman of the trustee board of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, which he graduated from back in 1985. A global depository receipt (GDR and sometimes spelled ''depositary'') is a general name for a depositary receipt where a certificate issued by a depository bank, which purchases shares of foreign companies, creates a security on a local exchange backed by those shares. They are the global equivalent of the original American depositary receipts (ADR) on which they are based.
