A conifer cone (in formal botany, botanical usage: strobilus, plural strobili) is a seed-bearing organ on gymnosperm plants. It is usually woody, ovoid to globular, including scales and bracts arranged around a central axis, especially in conifers and cycads. Alois Šiška
Alois Šiška (15 May 1914, Lutopecny – 9 September 2003, Prague) was a Czechoslovakia, Czechoslovak pilot. He flew for No. 311 Squadron RAF, a Czechoslovak bomber squadron during World War II. Šiška and his crew crashed in the North Sea; half died before they drifted to enemy-occupied land. The survivors became prisoners of war. He was a decorated veteran and a member of the Guinea Pig Club, an association that focused on the treatment, rehabilitation and socialization of airmen who suffered serious injuries in the war. Early life Šiška was born in Lutopecny near Kroměříž in 1914. His family had a small farm, and he was one of three children. From a young age, Šiška wanted to fly and to become a pilot. Juraj Šiška (born 17 May 1996) is a Slovak professional ice hockey forward for HKM Zvolen of the Slovak Extraliga. Career Šiška began his career with HK Nitra's academy and made his senior debut for the team during the 2012–13 season. He then went on to the Canadian Hockey League and was drafted 9th overall by the Saint John Sea Dogs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in the 2013 CHL Import Draft.
