Sirpy
Narayanan, known by his stage name Sirpy ( ta, சிற்பி; born 25 May 1962), is an Indian film score and soundtrack composer. He has predominantly scored music for Tamil films apart from working in Telugu and Malayalam films. He has also sung a few of his own compositions. Career Sirpy debuted as a music composer in 1992 for the film Manobala's ''Shenbaga Thottam'' and has composed for over 50 commercial and critically acclaimed feature films. His son Nandhan Ram made his acting debut as lead actor with the film ''Palli Paruvathile'' (2017). Awards He has won the Best Music director award from the Government of Tamil Nadu for the year 2002 for the film ''Unnai Ninaithu'' and the Kalaimamani Award The Kalaimamani is the highest civilian award in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Purushan Pondatti () is a 1996 Tamil-language comedy drama film directed by N. K. Viswanathan. The film stars Pandiarajan and Ranjitha. The film, produced by P. K. Yadav, had musical score by Sirpy and was released on 6 December 1996. The film was a remake of Kannada film ''Ranjitha''. Plot Pandian (Pandiarajan), a sale representative, gets married with Rajeswari (Ranjitha). Pandian's mother Vadivu (Vadivukkarasi) is a miser while his father Velmurugan (Manivannan) is a good man and they also have three daughters. Vadivu takes advantage of Rajeswari's salary and dowry. ''Avathara Purushan'' () is a 1996 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Pandiyan Arivali.
