Siriyari
Siriyari is a small town situated in State of Rajasthan, District Pali. It is situated on State Highway 62 connecting Sojat, Sojat Road, Siriyari, Phulad, Jojawar. This village has a police station connected to nearby Police posts in villages. It is famous as death place of Acharya Bhikshu (1726–1803) who was the founder and first spiritual head of the Shwatambar Terapanth sect of Jainism. There is a famous temple on his name, which has been a new landmark. History Siriyari was granted to Khet Singh Solanki, by his father Sawant Singh Solanki of Desuri. Raja Sur Singh of Jodhpur married to Khet Singh's daughter Rani Manorath Kanwar on 18th February 1594. Khet Singh, his son Sanga Singh died fighting for Mewar, in battles against Mughals. Thakur Mahesh Das, son of Rao Kumpa of Marwar, was father of a son, Thakur Aas Karan, who was granted the estate of Digai in 1616. Bhikshu (Jain Monk)
Acharya Bhikshu (1726–1803) was the founder and first spiritual head of the Śvetāmbara Terapanth sect of Jainism. He was a Devotee of Mahavira. In the initial phase of his spiritual revolution, he moved out from the group of Sthanakvasi Acharya Raghunath. That time he had 13 saints, 13 followers and 13 the basic rules. This coincidence results in the name of "Terapanth" (Thirteen Path) and he referred it as "Hey Prabhu Yeh Terapanth". The various beliefs and teachings of the religious orders of those times greatly influenced his thinking. He studied and analysed the various disciplines of the Jain religion and on this basis he compiled his own ideologies and principles of the Jain way of life. Based on the doctrines propagated, Acharya Bhikshu rigorously followed the principles. Pali district is a district in Rajasthan, India. The city of Pali is its administrative headquarters. History In 120 AD, during the Kushana Age, King Kanishka conquered the Rohat and Jaitaran areas, parts of today's Pali district. Pali is a city in Rajasthan state of India. It is the administrative headquarters of Pali District and comes in the Marwar region. It is on the bank of the river Bandi and is south east of Jodhpur. Sawai Raja Sur Singh Rathore or Suraj Mal or Suraj Singh (24 April 1571 – 7 September 1619), was the Raja of Marwar Kingdom (11 July 1595 – 7 September 1619).
