Sirens A.S.C.
Sirens Aquatic Sports Club is an aquatic sports club with over 500 fully paid up members, one of the largest of its kind in Malta. The club is run by an elected committee which devolves some of its duties and tasks to various sub-committees. All committee and sub-committee members are volunteers and receive no payment for their work. The statute of the club lays down the scope for the existence of the same club which is: *The promotion of waterpolo, swimming and other aquatic sports. *The observance of the rules of the clubs and those organizations to which the club is affiliated.) *The promotion of a sporting spirit, particularly amongst its young athletes. *The development and maintenance of the club premises and facilities For many years Sirens ASC has been in the forefront of Maltese aquatic sports and has faced many challenges that would have defeated a less strong minded group of people. San Pawl Il-Baħar
St. Paul's Bay ( mt, San Pawl il-Baħar) is a town in the Northern Region of Malta, sixteen kilometres () northwest of the capital Valletta. Saint Paul's Bay is the largest town in the Northern Region and the seat of the Northern Regional Committee. Its name refers to the shipwreck of Saint Paul as documented in the Acts of the Apostles on St. Paul's Islands near St Paul's Bay, on his voyage from Caesarea to Rome, which laid the foundations of Christianity on the island. Jan Evert Veer
Jan Evert Veer (born 1 November 1950) is a former water polo player from the Netherlands. He participated in three Summer Olympics, starting in 1972 in Munich. After the seventh place in West Germany, four years later the Dutch won the bronze medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal. In 1980 Veer finished in sixth position with the Holland squad. Pietro Figlioli
Pietro Figlioli (born 29 May 1984) is an Italian water polo player. He competed for Australia at the 2004 and 2008 Olympics and for Italy in 2012 and 2016 and won two medals for Italy. He also won the world title in 2011. In 2012 he received the Gold Collar of Sporting Merit from the Italian Olympic Committee. Sandro Campagna
Alessandro "Sandro" Campagna (born 26 June 1963) is an Italian former water polo player who competed at the 1988 and 1992 Summer Olympics. He is now the head coach of the Italy men's national water polo team. Career Campagna won a gold medal at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992. As a head coach, he led Italy men's national team to win two medals in 2012 and 2016, becoming one of a few sportspeople who won Olympic medals in water polo as players and head coaches he then quit participating in the olympics because of the death of his wife in 2017. She died from a stroke. He was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2019.
