Sir Thomas Dyke, 1st Baronet
Sir Thomas Dyke, 1st Baronet (c. 1650 – 31 October 1706) was an English Tory politician who sat in the House of Commons between 1685 and 1698. Dyke was the son of Sir Thomas Dyke and his wife Catharine Bramstone, daughter of Sir John Bramstone, of Skreenes, Essex. He was educated at Westminster School and Christ Church, Oxford. He entered Middle Temple in 1667 and later travelled abroad. He lived at Horeham, in Sussex and was created a baronet, of Horeham in the County of Sussex, on 3 March 1677. From 1677 to 1679 he was a commissioner for assessment in Sussex. Dyke was elected Member of Parliament (MP) for Sussex in 1685 and held the seat until 1689. During this period, as a high church Anglican, he was in disagreement with King James II, which caused an interruption to his term as J.P. and Deputy Lieutenant. Sir John Pelham, 3rd Baronet (1623–1703) was an English landowner and Member of Parliament who sat in the Commons between 1645 and 1698. Personal details John Pelham was born in 1623, eldest son of Sir Thomas Pelham, 2nd Baronet, and his wife Mary Wilbraham, daughter of Sir Roger Wilbraham, the Solicitor General for Ireland. A baronet ( or ; abbreviated Bart or Bt) or the female equivalent, a baronetess (, , or ; abbreviation Btss), is the holder of a baronetcy, a hereditary title awarded by the British Crown. The title of baronet is mentioned as early as the 14th century, however in its current usage was created by James I of England in 1611 as a means of raising funds for the crown. The Dyke Baronetcy, of Horeham in the County of Sussex, is a title in the Baronetage of England. It was created on 3 March 1677 for Sir Thomas Dyke, 1st Baronet, Thomas Dyke, Commissioner of Public Accounts and Member of Parliament for Sussex (UK Parliament constituency), Sussex and East Grinstead (UK Parliament constituency), East Grinstead. The 2nd Baronet married Anne Hart, daughter and heiress of Percival Hart. John Conyers (6 March 1650 – 10 March 1725) of Walthamstow, Essex was an English lawyer and politician who sat in the English and British House of Commons for 30 years from 1695 to 1725. Conyers was the eldest son of Tristram Conyers, serjeant-at-law, MP of Walthamstow and his wife Winifred Gerard, daughter of Sir Gilbert Gerard, 1st Baronet, MP of Flamberds, Harrow-on-the-Hill, Middlesex. He was educated at Merchant Taylors’ School from 1663 to 1665 and matriculated at Queen’s College, Oxford on 7 April 1666, aged 16. He then studied law at the Middle Temple from 1666, was called to the bar in 1672 and was made King's Counsel (KC) in about 1693. Lionel Boyle, 3rd Earl Of Orrery
Lionel Boyle, 3rd Earl of Orrery (11 July 1671 – 24 August 1703), styled Lord Broghill between 1679 and 1682, was an Anglo-Irish politician. Boyle was the son of Roger Boyle, 2nd Earl of Orrery, by Mary, daughter of Richard Sackville, 5th Earl of Dorset. He was educated at the University of Utrecht. He succeeded his father in the earldom in 1682. However, as this was an Irish peerage it did not entitle him to a seat in the English House of Lords. He subsequently sat as Member of Parliament for East Grinstead from February to November 1695, from 1698 to January 1701 and again from November 1701 to 1702. Lord Orrery married his first cousin Mary, the illegitimate daughter of Charles Sackville, 6th Earl of Dorset. He died at Earl's Court, Kensington, London, in August 1703, aged 32, and was succeeded in the earldom by his younger brother, Charles.
