Sir Frederick Evelyn, 3rd Baronet
Sir Frederick Evelyn, 3rd Baronet (1734 – 1 April 1812) was a British aristocrat. He was born in 1734, the only son of Sir John Evelyn, 2nd Baronet, and served in 15th The King's Hussars, Elliot's Light Horse at the battle of Minden in 1759, during the Seven Years' War. He succeeded his father to the baronetcy created for his grandfather, Sir John Evelyn, 1st Baronet of Wotton, on 11 June 1767, inheriting Wotton House, Surrey.George Cokayne, Cokayne, George Edward (1906) Complete Baronetage'. Wotton, Surrey
Wotton is a well-wooded parish with one main settlement, a small village mostly south of the A25 between Guildford in the west and Dorking in the east. The nearest village with a small number of shops is Westcott. Wotton lies in a narrow valley, collecting the headwaters of the Tilling Bourne which then has its first combined flow in the Vale of Holmesdale. The parish is long north to south, reaching to the North Downs escarpment (and the North Downs Way) in the north to the escarpment of the Greensand Ridge at Leith Hill in the south. Wotton Common forming the south of the parish is elevated woodland dotted with a few vernacular-style houses and has the county's only natural waterfall. The common's main settlement is Friday Street. A baronet ( or ; abbreviated Bart or Bt) or the female equivalent, a baronetess (, , or ; abbreviation Btss), is the holder of a baronetcy, a hereditary title awarded by the British Crown. Godstone is a village and civil parishes in England, civil parish in Surrey, England, east of Reigate at the junction of the A22 road, A22 and A25 road, A25 roads, near the M25 motorway and the North Downs. Godstone railway station is separated from it by agricultural land. Long Ditton
Long Ditton is a residential suburb in the Borough of Elmbridge, Surrey, England on the boundary with the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, London. In medieval times it was a village, occupying a narrow strip of land. Neighbouring settlements include Hinchley Wood, Thames Ditton and Surbiton. Sir John Evelyn, 4th Baronet (c. 1758 – 14 May 1833) was a British aristocrat. Family Background John was the eldest son of Charles Evelyn, by Philippa Wright, the daughter of Fortunatus Wright, the privateer. Charles Evelyn was the only son of another Charles Evelyn, who was the brother of Sir John Evelyn, 2nd Baronet, and the second son of Sir John Evelyn, 1st Baronet of Wotton. The elder Charles, of Yarlington, Somerset, died aged 40 in January 1748, while the younger Charles died before 1781.
