	Sioned Williams Sioned Williams is a Welsh politician and a Member of the Senedd (MS) for the South Wales West (Senedd electoral region), South Wales West region since 2021 Senedd election, 2021. Williams is a member of Plaid Cymru. Early life Williams was born in Monmouthshire (historic), Monmouthshire and was educated at Ysgol Gymraeg Cwmbrân and Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhymni. She attended Aberystwyth University where she studied Welsh and English. Later, she attended Cardiff University with a S4C T. Glynne Davies Scholarship. She was a journalist for BBC News Wales, and later worked at Academi Hywel Teifi in Swansea University, organising public events and community courses on Welsh history, culture and literature. Williams' great uncle Dai Wil, was an agent for Aneurin Bevan in one of his early elections. 	Swansea Valley The Swansea Valley ( cy, Cwm Tawe) is one of the South Wales Valleys. It is the valley from the Brecon Beacons National Park to the sea at Swansea of the River Tawe in Wales. 	Cilybebyll Cilybebyll is both a village and a community in the Neath Port Talbot County Borough, Wales. It includes the villages of Alltwen, Fforest Gôch, Gellinudd and Rhos. The village is located east of Pontardawe, north of Neath and northeast of Swansea. The community has a population of 4,769 in 2011 census. Cilybebyll estate The Cilybebyll estate was established in the 15th century, and after development by various families, by 1838 was recorded as having the largest land holding in the district. Plas Cilybebyll, the main house, was redeveloped in 1840 by Henry Leach, creating a south-facing Victorian facade on the property. His son Frances Edward Leach inherited the estate in 1848, changing his name to Lloyd in 1849 by Royal Charter in order not to forfeit his inheritance. 	Gleision Colliery Mining Accident The Gleision Colliery mining accident was a mining accident which occurred on 15 September 2011 at the Gleision Colliery, a drift mine at Cilybebyll in Neath Port Talbot, in Wales. The accident occurred while seven miners were working with explosives on a narrow coal seam. Following a blasting operation into a separate disused flooded mine network to increase air-circulation, the tunnel in which the miners were working began to fill with water. Three of the miners escaped, with one being taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the others were trapped underground. A search and rescue operation was launched to locate the four remaining miners, but they were found deceased the following day. The incident is the worst mining disaster to occur in Wales for three decades.
