Sinéad Crowley
Sinéad Crowley (born 1974) is an Irish journalist and novelist. She is Arts and Media Correspondent for RTÉ News and is a lecturer in journalism at Dublin City University. She has published three crime novels, ''Can Anybody Help Me?'' (2014), ''Are You Watching Me?'' (2015) and ''One Bad Turn'' (2017) in the novel series ''DS Claire Boyle''. Career Crowley began her career as a journalist and film reviewer for the '' Northside People'' and later worked on the radio stations, Raidió Na Life, Clare FM and Radio Kerry. She joined Raidió Teilifís Éireann in 1997 as a reporter in Irish language programmes and joined the RTÉ Newsroom as a journalist in August 1999. Since December 2006, Crowley is Arts and Media Correspondent for RTÉ News and Current Affairs on television, radio and online. Walkinstown
Walkinstown () is a suburb of Dublin in Ireland, six kilometres southwest of the city centre. It is surrounded by Drimnagh to the north, Crumlin to the east, Greenhills to the south, and Ballymount, Bluebell, and Clondalkin to the west. Its postal code is Dublin 12. It consists mainly of privately owned housing, with some social housing remaining in the Dublin City Council area between the Walkinstown and Long Mile Roads and Ballymount Lower. It was built as an estate of starter homes after World War II. The COVID-19 pandemic in the Republic of Ireland is part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). In the Republic of Ireland, it has resulted in 1,687,668 cases and 8,293 deaths. 89.4% of those who died were aged over 65 and 76% had underlying illnesses with a median age of death at 82 years old. During 2020 and 2021, the country had one of the world's lowest excess death rates, which is an overall indicator of the pandemic's impact, at an estimated 12.5 deaths per 100,000 population. Secondment is the assignment of a member of one organisation to another organisation for a temporary period. Job rotation The employee typically retains their salary and other employment rights from their primary organization but they work closely within the other organization to provide training, a liaison between the two companies and the sharing of experience. The RTÉ Television Centre is a television studio building which is owned by Ireland's national public service broadcaster Raidió Teilifís Éireann. It is part of the RTÉ campus located at Donnybrook in South Dublin. The building houses the main production studios for RTÉ Television, the control rooms for all RTÉ's TV channels, and RTÉ's main newsroom. History When plans for an Irish national television station were developed in the late 1950s attention quickly turned to a suitable location for the new television studios and adjoining offices. By September 1959 a 25-acre area of land on the Stillorgan road in Donnybrook became the favoured site for the new television production centre.
