The Sinos River Valley is situated northeast of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Southern Brazil, covering two geomorphologic provinces: the Southern plateau and central depression, an area of almost 1398.5 km2, consisting of 14 municipalities. The Vale do Sinos Regional Development Association, VALETEC, was established in 1998 as a non-profit private civil partnership at the Sinos River Valley in southern Brazil. Its goal is to promote technological development in the Vale do Sinos region by stimulating regional integration, providing incentives for entrepreneurship, while creating, attracting, hosting, and developing companies. Sapiranga
Sapiranga is a city in Brazil in the state of Rio Grande do Sul with a population of roughly 80,000 inhabitants. It is located in an industrial area called "Vale dos Sinos", by the Rio dos Sinos (River of the Bells). The town's economy relies heavily on the shoe industry. Other industries are present, but mostly linked to the shoe manufacturing process, such as metallurgic plants in which machinery is built to later be employed in the production of shoes. Ivoti
Ivoti is a municipality in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, located in the Porto Alegre metropolitan area. The population is 24,690 (2020 est.) in an area of 63.15 km². History Originally occupied by indigenous people since 12,000 years ago (known as the ''Umbu Tradition''), the area started to be explored by bandeirantes in the 18th Century and later was used as a rout to transport cattle.
