Henry Earl Singleton
Henry Earl Singleton (November 27, 1916 – August 31, 1999) was an American electrical engineer, business executive, and rancher/land owner. Singleton made significant contributions to aircraft inertial guidance and was elected to the National Academy of Engineering. He co-founded Teledyne, Inc., one of America's most successful conglomerates, and was its chief executive officer for three decades. Late in life, Singleton became one of the largest holders of ranchland in the United States. George Michael Singleton CBE MC (12 May 191311 December 2002) was an English first-class cricketer who played in three matches, appearing once for Cambridge University and twice for Worcestershire. He took five wickets with his left-arm spin and scored 34 runs in his five innings. He later played for the Free Foresters and I Zingari. Mark Singleton (1762 – 17 July 1840) was an Anglo-Irish politician. He sat in the House of Commons of Great Britain as an MP for the borough of Eye from 1796 to 1799, in the Irish House of Commons in 1800 as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the rotten borough of Carysfort in County Wicklow, and then in the House of Commons of the United Kingdom as an MP for Eye from 1807 to 1820. Malachi Singleton (born June 2, 2004) is an American college football quarterback for the Purdue Boilermakers. He previously played for the Arkansas Razorbacks. He was a four-star prospect from North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, Georgia. Singleton redshirted at Arkansas as a freshman, he did not appear in any games during the 2023 season. Lawrence Singleton
Lawrence Bernard "Larry" Singleton (July 28, 1927 – December 28, 2001) was an American criminal who raped and mutilated adolescent hitchhiker Mary Vincent in California in 1978, and then attacked a woman after being released from prison eight years later. He raped Vincent and cut off her forearms, then left her to die in a culvert off Interstate 5 in Del Puerto Canyon. She managed to stop a car, and get to safety and later acted as a critical witness against Singleton. Released from prison on good behavior after serving eight years of his fourteen-year sentence, he later murdered Roxanne Hayes, a mother of three. Kenneth Jan Singleton (born 1951) is an American economist. He is a leading figure in empirical financial economics, and a faculty member at Stanford University. As the Adams Distinguished Professor of Management, emeritus at Stanford Graduate School of Business, Singleton teaches a variety of degree courses in finance. Singleton received a BA in mathematics from Reed College in 1973, and went on to complete his PhD in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Kenneth Wayne Singleton (born June 10, 1947) is an American former professional baseball player and television sports commentator. He played in Major League Baseball as an outfielder and designated hitter from to , most prominently as a member of the Baltimore Orioles where, he was a three-time Major League Baseball All-Star Game, All-Star player and was a member of the 1983 World Series winning team. Jonathan Lee Singleton (born September 18, 1991) is an American professional baseball first baseman in the New York Mets organization. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Houston Astros and Milwaukee Brewers.
