The Singhania family is a prominent Indian business family, that started out in the Indian city of Kanpur. The family expanded into three major branches and is currently based out of Kanpur, Mumbai and Delhi. JK Organisation founded by Lala Kamlapat Singhania is one of the largest conglomerates in India today, with multiple million and billion dollar companies under its belt. Lakshmipat Singhania Academy (LSA) are a group of schools run by Lakshmipat Singhania Education Foundation, a subsidiary of the J.K. Group. There are two branches of LSA - in Kolkata, West Bengal and Bissau, Jhunjhunu District, Rajasthan. The schools are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. Sir Padampat Singhania University (SPSU) is a private, residential university located in Udaipur, India. The university was established by the J K Cement group of companies. The university is named after the founder of the J K Organisation. The University came into existence through an Ordinance passed by the Government of Rajasthan in 2007 and which was subsequently made into the Sir Padampat Singhania University Act 2008. Gautam Vijaypat Singhania (born 9 September 1965) is an Indian industrialist. He is the chairman and managing director of the Raymond Group, the world's largest producer of suiting fabric. Biography Gautam Singhania was born in an Marwari industrialist family, to Vijaypat Singhania and Ashabai Singhania.
