Singapore Chinese Football Association
The Singapore Xin Hua Sports Club is a semi-professional football team that currently competing in the Singapore National Football League Division 2. It was founded in 1911 as a local football organisation in Singapore which was initially set up to promote football amongst the Chinese community in colonial Singapore. History In 1911, the Straits Chinese of Singapore formed the Straits Chinese Football Association (SCFA). The various Straits Chinese clubs in Singapore who already had a football team were in the SCFA while all other clubs were encouraged to join. The SCFA would regulate the football matches and be an authority among the football clubs. While the SCFA lacked a playing ground for clubs to play matches, the Fairy Dale Cup was held with eight teams competing. In 1913, Lim Boon Keng became the president of SCFA. ''The New Paper'' is a Singaporean newspaper in tabloid form. It was originally published as a "noon paper", but since 2016 has been published daily as a freesheet in the morning from 7 a.m. onwards. Seng Kang Secondary School
Sengkang (, ta, செங்காங்) is a planning area and residential town located in the North-East Region of Singapore. Singapore Sports School (SSP) is a specialised independent boarding school and statutory board under the purview of Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth of the Government of Singapore that offers an integrated sports and academic programme to secondary and post-secondary students in Singapore. Management Moo Soon Chong was the first principal of Singapore Sports School. ESPZEN is the amateur football association organisation founded in 2004. The organisation is based in Singapore and is well known to have organised amateur football leagues in the country. The organisations have football leagues for open category, veteran category and juniors category. Katong Football Club
Katong, also known as Tanjong Katong, is a residential neighbourhood in the eastern portion of the Central Region of Singapore, within the Marine Parade planning area. It used to be located by the sea, before land reclamation towards the south to East Coast Park was created for housing and recreational purposes beginning in the 1960s to 1970s.
