Sine
In mathematics, sine and cosine are trigonometric functions of an angle. The sine and cosine of an acute angle are defined in the context of a right triangle: for the specified angle, its sine is the ratio of the length of the side that is opposite that angle to the length of the longest side of the triangle (the hypotenuse), and the cosine is the ratio of the length of the adjacent leg to that of the hypotenuse. The sinoatrial node (also known as the sinuatrial node, SA node or sinus node) is an oval shaped region of special cardiac muscle in the upper back wall of the right atrium made up of cells known as pacemaker cells. The sinus node is approximately fifteen mm long, three mm wide, and one mm thick, located directly below and to the side of the superior vena cava. These cells can produce an electrical impulse an action potential known as a cardiac action potential that travels through the electrical conduction system of the heart, causing it to contract. In a healthy heart, the SA node continuously produces action potentials, setting the rhythm of the heart (sinus rhythm), and so is known as the heart's natural pacemaker. Sines () is a city and a municipality in Portugal. The municipality, divided into two parishes, has around 14,214 inhabitants (2021) in an area of . Sines holds an important oil refinery and several petrochemical industries. It is also a popular beach spot and the main fishing harbor of Alentejo region. The Port of Sines is the largest artificial port in Portugal, and a deep water port, natural backgrounds to -28 m ZH with specialized terminals that allow the movement of different types of goods. Sinë ( sq-definite, Sina), is a small village in the Dibër County, in Albania. After the 2015 local government reforms, it became part of the municipality Dibër. History Pal Kastrioti (fl. 1383—1407) was given village of Sina (''Signa'') as a fief by Zetan lord Balša II. Pal's son, Konstantin, was the lord of Serina (Sina, or Cerüja). The settlements of ''Setina e Sipërme'' and ''Setina e Poshtme'' are attested in the Ottoman '' defter'' of 1467 as villages belonging to the timar of Karagöz in the vilayet of Lower Dibra. Maurice Sinet (; 31 December 1928 – 5 May 2016), known professionally as Siné (), was a French political cartoonist. His work is noted for its anti-capitalism, anti-clericalism, anti-colonialism, anti-semitism, and anarchism. Biography As a young man Siné studied drawing and graphic arts, while earning a living as a cabaret singer. His first published drawing appeared in ''France Dimanche'' in 1952. Siné received the ' in 1955 for his collection ''Complainte sans Paroles''. His series of drawings on cats was his breakthrough. He then started working for ''L'Express'' as a political cartoonist. Siné's anti-colonialism caused controversy during the Algerian war. He was sued a number of times, being defended by Jacques Vergès, then a lawyer for the Algerian Liberation Front. In 1962 Siné left ''L'Express'' and published a book of his work called ''Siné Massacre'', noted for its anti-colonialism, anti-capitalism, anti-clericalism and anarchism.
