Sincerity
Sincerity is the virtue of one who communicates and acts in accordance with the entirety of their feelings, beliefs, thoughts, and desires in a manner that is honest and genuine. Etymology The Oxford English Dictionary and most scholars state that ''sincerity'' from ''sincere'' is derived from the Latin ''sincerus'' meaning ''clean, pure, sound'' (1525–35). ''Sincerus'' may have once meant "one growth" (not mixed), from ''sin-'' (one) and ''crescere'' (to grow). ''Crescere'' is cognate with "Ceres," the goddess of grain, as in "cereal."Bob Edwards. The album credited production to Oister, which was the original name of the Dwight Twilley Band; later reissues have credited production directly to Twilley and Seymour. Background The songs on ''Sincerely'' come from three distinct recording periods: the band's first Tulsa and Los Angeles sessions for Shelter Records in 1974, which were intended by the label as rehearsals and demos but produced both of the first two singles (the top 20 hit "I'm on Fire" and "You Were So Warm"), a recording session produced by Robin Cable at Trident Studios in London that produced an entire album of material (tentatively called ''Fire''), ...

End Of A Year
Self Defense Family (shortened to Self Defense and previously known as End of a Year) are an American rock band with members from across the United States and England. The band has released six full-length albums and several EPs and splits. Their sixth and latest studio album '' Have You Considered Punk Music'' was released June 29, 2018, on Run For Cover Records. History End of a Year started as a side project for a number of musicians based in Albany, New York already involved in full-time bands. Having spent time in heavier bands, the initial End of a Year line-up was interested in trying something more overtly melodic. Taking their name from an Embrace song, the band's original sound was highly influenced by the Revolution Summer-era DC bands. The band recorded a boombox demo to give out at their first show, which took place at SUNY Albany. Shortly thereafter, a more formal demo entitled ''"Warm"'' was recorded. A full-length, ''Disappear Here'', appeared on local labels ...

The Moonglows recorded the song during their first session for Chess Records, which took place in October, 1954 at Universal Recording Corporation in Chicago. The Moonglows' version reached number one on the ''Billboard'' R&B chart and number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Juke Box chart. Co-writing credits were shared by Moonglows band member Fuqua and disk jockey Freed. After it became known that Freed often insisted on songwriter credits for songs by bands he promoted (which partially led to his downfall in a payola investigation years later), Fuqua noted that Freed had in fact contributed to the songwriting for "Sincerely", thus his claim to a songwriting credit in this case was legitimate.
