Sin Pin Jit Poh
''Guang Ming Daily'' () is a Chinese-language newspaper published in Malaysia. Formerly known as ''Sin Pin Jit Poh'' or ''Sin Pin Daily'' (), it was founded by Aw Boon Haw who also started the ''Sin Chew Daily''. ''Sin Pin Daily'' was headquartered in Penang. It stopped publishing in 1986 after major changes in management. The former staff of the ''Sin Pin Daily'' started the ''Guang Ming Daily'' in December 1987 with the help from Lim Keng Yaik. ''Sin Chew Daily'' (), formerly known as ''Sin Chew Jit Poh'', is a leading Chinese-language newspaper in Malaysia. According to report from the Audit Bureau of Circulation for the period ending 31 December 2011, ''Sin Chew Daily'' has an average daily circulation of almost 500,000 copies and also the largest-selling Chinese-language newspaper outside Greater China. It is only on Sundays that the circulation of the Malay-language (national language of Malaysia) papers exceeds that of ''Sin Chew Daily''. ''Sin Chew Daily'' is owned by Sin Chew Media Corporation Berhad, a subsidiary of Media Chinese International Limited. It is a member of the Asia News Network. Sin Chew Jit Poh (Singapore)
''Sin Chew Jit Poh'' was a Singapore newspaper. It was founded by Aw Boon Haw in Singapore. In the 1960s, it started its Malaysian bureau in Petaling Jaya, with full function printing house. Malaysian edition started to become a separate sister newspaper since they have the full function from news report writing to printing. Due to the Newspaper and Printing Presses Act enacted in 1974, starting from 1975, the two newspaper in Singapore and Malaysia had a separate ownership, which the Singapore edition was owned by Sin Chew Jit Poh (Singapore) Limited; the Malaysian edition was sold by Sin Poh Amalgamated in 1982. Singapore's ''Sin Chew Jit Poh'' ceased publication in Singapore in March 1983 and subsequently merged with Singapore's ''Nanyang Siang Pau'' to become ''Lianhe Zaobao'' and ''Lianhe Wanbao''; their parent companies, were merged in 1982 as Singapore News and Publications Limited, a predecessor of Singapore monopoly Singapore Press Holdings. Sing Tao Holdings
Sing Tao Holdings Limited was a Bermuda-incorporated company, but headquartered in Hong Kong. The company was listed in The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. The company was a media and property conglomerate until it was dismantled in 2002. After selling the main media business and subsequent takeover in mid-2002, the legal person of the listed company, along with its property business, was renamed into Shanghai Ming Yuan Holdings. Sing Tao Holdings and its predecessor Sing Tao Limited were majority owned by founder Aw Boon Haw, his daughter Sally Aw and other family members for almost 50 years. Facing financial troubles, Sally Aw sold the controlling stake to a private equity fund of Lazard in 1999. Sin Poh (Star News) Amalgamated Limited was a Singapore publisher, which published ''Sin Chew Jit Poh'' () in Singapore and Malaysia, as well as '' Sin Pin Jit Poh'' () in Penang, Malaysia. The Malaysia editions were sold to a Malaysian businessman in 1982.
