Sin Piedad (2020) (Spanish for "No Mercy") was a major professional wrestling supercard show, produced and scripted by the Mexican ''Lucha Libre'' promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). The Sin Piedad show tookplace on January 1, 2020 in Arena México, Mexico City, Mexico. The 2020 Sin Piedad will be the 15th event under the Sin Piedad name and the fifth year in a row CMLL has held the show on New Year's Day. In the main event Dulce Gardenia defeated Kawato-San, forcing Kawato-San to be shaved bald afterwards per the ''Lucha de Apuestas'' stipulation for the match. On the undercard Príncipe Diamante defeated Espíritu Negro, after which Espíritu Negro was forced to unmask and reveal his real name, Juan Manuel González Olalde, in front of the Arena México crowd. Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre Co., Ltd. (CMLL; , "World Wrestling Council") is a ''lucha libre'' professional wrestling promotion based in Mexico City. The promotion was previously known as ''Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre'' (''EMLL'') (''Mexican Wrestling Enterprise''). The Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) has traditionally held an annual ''Reyes del Aire'' (Spanish for "Kings of the Air") tournament since 2005. There was no tournament in 2010 and both 2007 and 2012 saw two ''Reyes del Aire'' tournaments. The 2017 Sin Piedad was the 13th event under that name that CMLL has promoted since the first one was held in 2000, the second one to be held on New Year's Day. A professional wrestling promotion is a company or business that regularly performs shows involving professional wrestling that has little relationship to the rules of the amateur olympic form. The CMLL World Tag Team Championship (''CMLL Campeonato Mundial de Parejas'' in Spanish) is a professional wrestling World Tag Team Championship promoted by Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL; Spanish for "World Wrestling Council") in Mexico and is for two-man tag teams only.
