Sparrow Records is a Christian music record label and a division of Universal Music Group. History Sparrow Records was founded in 1976 by Billy Ray Hearn, then artists and repertoire (A&R) director at Myrrh Records. Purchased by Thorn EMI in 1992, Sparrow's parent underwent a demerger four years later to become the EMI Group, and the label is now part of the Capitol Christian Music Group. Sparrow Records rose to prominence with the signing of singer, songwriter, Contemporary Christian musician and minister Keith Green. Within a year of his 1976 signing by Sparrow, Green was the top selling Christian artist in America. Paul Wright (singer)
Paul Wright is an American musician originally from Eugene, Oregon. His debut album, '' Fly Away'', was recorded in Oregon with Christopher Stevens and released in 2003. He graduated from Northwest Christian University with a degree in Communications after spending a semester studying at the Contemporary Music Center in Martha's Vineyard. His 2008 album is titled ''Diego's Diary''. He is also on the tobyMac's albums ''Welcome to Diverse City'' and ''Renovating Diverse City''. He was signed to Gotee Records. In October 2009, he led a songwriting workshop in Thailand. Wright also recently released some singles which were custom songs he wrote for his fans. He offers his fans the opportunity to purchase an original song in which he writes and records their story for them. Christopher Stevens (born November 29, 1967), was an American record producer, mix-engineer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Nashville, Tennessee. Early and personal life Stevens was born Christopher Edmund Stevens, on November 29, 1967, in Eugene, Oregon. He graduated from North Eugene High School and studied electronics at Lane Community College. After working as a composer for video games in the 1990s, Stevens eventually relocated to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue songwriting and record production full-time. Credits awards and accomplishments Chris Stevens has produced and mixed contemporary Christian music artists TobyMac, and ''American Idol'' finalists Mandisa and Colton Dixon, among others.
