"Simple Twist of Fate", a song by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, was recorded on September 19, 1974, and was released in 1975 as the second song on his 15th studio album ''Blood on the Tracks''. Background and composition "Simple Twist of Fate" is a narrative song about a romantic relationship destined not to work out. Like "Tangled Up in Blue", which it immediately follows on "Blood on the Tracks", it is unusual in that it begins in the third person before shifting into the first. The song has been interpreted variously as being inspired by Suze Rotolo, Joan Baez and Sara Dylan. Bob Dylan (legally Robert Dylan, born Robert Allen Zimmerman, May 24, 1941) is an American singer-songwriter. Often regarded as one of the greatest songwriters of all time, Dylan has been a major figure in popular culture during a career spanning more than 60 years. Todd Haynes (; born January 2, 1961) is an American film director, screenwriter, and producer. ''I'm Not There'' is a 2007 musical drama film directed by Todd Haynes, and co-written by Haynes and Oren Moverman. It is an unconventional biographical film inspired by the life and music of American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan. Rolling Thunder Revue
The Rolling Thunder Revue was a 1975–1976 concert tour by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan with numerous musicians and collaborators. The purpose of the tour was to allow Dylan, who had now become a major recording artist and concert performer, to play in smaller auditoriums in less populated cities where he could be more intimate with his audiences. Some of the performers on the tour were Joan Baez, Roger McGuinn, Joni Mitchell, Ronee Blakely and Ramblin' Jack Elliott. ''The Bootleg Series Vol. 14: More Blood, More Tracks'' is a compilation album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan. The 12th installment in the ongoing Bob Dylan ''Bootleg Series'', it was released by Legacy Records on November 2, 2018. The compilation focuses on recordings Dylan made in September and December 1974 for his 1975 album ''Blood on the Tracks''. The release comes in both a one disc standard edition and a six disc deluxe edition. It is the first volume since the third where the standard edition is not a double disc.
