Simone Pianigiani
Simone Pianigiani (born 31 May 1969) is an Italian professional basketball coach currently acting as a team consultant for the Beijing Ducks of the Chinese Basketball Association. Coaching career Pro clubs Pianigiani was appointed the head coach of the Italian League club Montepaschi Siena before the 2006–07 season, and led his team to the Italian League championship in all six of his seasons on the bench. He was named the Italian League's Best Coach in 2007. The 2008–09 Italian League season was especially notable, as Montepaschi won the Italian SuperCup before the season, the Italian Cup at mid-season, and won the Italian League championship, by sweeping all three of their playoff series. In 44 Italian domestic games that season, they lost only once – at Fortitudo Bologna, in an Italian League game. As head coach in Siena, he reached the Euroleague Final Four twice (2008 and 2011). Chinese Basketball Association
The Chinese Basketball Association (), often abbreviated as the CBA, is the first-tier professional men's basketball league in China. The league is commonly known by fans as the CBA, and this acronym is even used in Chinese on a regular basis. The CBA should not be confused with the National Basketball League (NBL), which is a professional minor league. There is also a Women's Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA). EuroBasket 2015 was the 39th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe. It was co-hosted by Croatia, France, Germany, and Latvia, making it the first EuroBasket held in more than one country. It started on 5 September and ended on 20 September 2015. The top two teams ( and ) qualified to the 2016 Summer Olympics. EuroBasket 2013 was the 38th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe. It took place from 4 September until 22 September 2013 in Slovenia. Yannis Christopoulos
Yannis Christopoulos (alternate spelling: Giannis) (born on 7 June 1974 in Patras) is a Greek professional basketball coach for Promitheas Patras of the Greek Basket League and the EuroCup. Coaching career Christopoulos began his coaching career in 1996, at the age of 22, with the youth departments of the Romanian club CS Universitatea Mobitelco Cluj-Napoca. He then became an assistant coach with Apollon Patras, where he worked under head coach Dirk Bauermann. He also worked as an assistant coach under Bauermann in the German club Brandt Hagen. Christopoulos' career as a club head coach started in 2004, in Cyprus, with Proteas EKA AEL. He was also the head coach of Apollon Patras. Basketball coaching is the act of directing and strategizing the behavior of a basketball team or individual basketball player.
