Simon Bracke
Simon Bracke (born 17 November 1995) is a retired Belgian footballer who last played for Tienen in the Belgian National Division 1. Bracke made his debut for OH Leuven during the Belgian Second Division play-offs in 2014 against Eupen, a match which did not matter much as OH Leuven was already sure of relegation before the match. Bracke played 17 matches during the 2014–15 season, scoring once in the 3-0 home win against Racing Mechelen. OH Leuven promoted back in the Belgian Pro League at the end of that season and Bracke was deemed surplus and was therefore loaned for one season to ASV Geel where he played 25 matches, scoring three times. The Belgian Pro League,(officially the Jupiler Pro League due to sponsorship reasons with Jupiler), is the top league competition for association football clubs in Belgium. 2016–17 Belgian First Division B
The 2016–17 season of the Belgian First Division B began in August 2016 and ended on 28 April 2017. It was the inaugural season of the First Division B following a change in league format from the old Belgian Second Division. The fixtures were announced on 23 June 2016. Although scoring most points overall, Lierse missed out on promotion as they came second in both the opening and closing tournament, leaving K.S.V. Roeselare and Antwerp to battle it out for promotion. Following thirteen years at the second level of Belgian football, Antwerp secured promotion on 11 March 2017. This article gives a summary of results for the Belgian Second Division play-offs from 2011 to 2015. After the reformation of Belgian Football League system in 2016, the Belgian Second Division play-offs was scrapped. An expanded Europa League playoff of the new Belgian First Division A was created, which consists three teams from the new Belgian First Division B. But these teams, unlike teams before, were not eligible to promote through these playoffs. Only the champions of the newly established Belgian First Division B could be promoted from 2015-16 season to 2018-19 season.
