Albena Simeonova
Albena Simeonova (born 1964) is a Bulgarian Environmental activism, environmental activist. She is a key figure in the opposition to the Bulgarian Belene nuclear power plant. Education / Profession Albena Simeonova studied at the Sofia University specializing in Biology and Chemistry. She completed a postgraduate degree with work in Ecology. She spent several years teaching at the secondary school level. From 1991 she worked as Senior Ecologist for the Botevgrad council administration. She served as the Executive Director of the Foundation for Ecological Education and Training in Sofia from 1994 to 1996, this was next to serving as the Vice chair of the Bulgarian Green Party. Since 1999 she has worked in the agricultural sector, being a pioneer of the organic movement in Bulgaria. Toma Simionov (born 30 October 1955) is a retired Romanian sprint canoer, who competed in doubles together with his elder brother Gheorghe and later with Ivan Patzaichin. Gheorghe Simionov (born 4 June 1950) is a retired Romanian sprint canoeist. He competed in 500 m and 1000 m doubles at the 1976 Olympics, together with Gheorghe Danilov, and placed fourth and second, respectively. Valeri Simeonov Simeonov ( bg, Валери Симеонов Симеонов; born 14 March 1955) is a Bulgarian politician who is one of the leaders and founding members of the National Front for the Salvation of Bulgaria. Biography Born in Dolni Chiflik, Simeonov has a degree in electrical engineering from TU-Sofia. In the 1990s he founded the SKAT cable network in the city of Burgas. As was customary for Bulgarian cable networks at the time, the SKAT company soon started its own TV channels. The cable TV network is currently one of the main competitors in Southwestern Bulgaria.
