Silvia Zarzu
Silvia Andreea Zarzu (born 16 December 1998) is a retired Romanian artistic gymnast. She was part of the Romanian team that won the gold medal in the team event at the 2014 European Championships and placed fourth at the 2014 World Championships. Junior career Zarzu competed with Andreea Munteanu, Miriam Aribășoiu, Ștefania Stănilă, and Paula Tudorache at the 2012 European Junior Championships, and they won the bronze medal. Individually, Zarzu won the silver medal on the floor exercise behind Maria Kharenkova from Russia. She competed with Andreea Iridon and Laura Jurca at the 2013 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival, and they won the team bronze medal behind Russia and Great Britain. Onești (; hu, Ónfalva) is a municipiu, city in Bacău County, Romania, with a population of 39,172 inhabitants. It is situated in the historical region of Western Moldavia, Moldavia. Larisa Andreea Iordache (; born 19 June 1996) is a former Romanians, Romanian Artistic gymnastics, artistic gymnast. She represented Romania at the 2012 Summer Olympics, Romania at the 2012 Olympic Games, winning a bronze medal with the team, and at the Romania at the 2020 Summer Olympics, 2020 Olympic Games. 2016 European Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 31st European Championships in Women's Artistic Gymnastics Seniors and Juniors was held from 1 to 5 June 2016, at the PostFinance-Arena in Bern, Switzerland. It was the first time the city had hosted a major female international competition (it hosted the 1975 Men's European Gymnastics Championships), and was the first time Switzerland hosted the competition in the country. Maria Holbură
Maria Larisa Holbură (born 16 September 2000) is a former Romanian artistic gymnast. She represented Romania at the 2020 Summer Olympics and at the 2018 and 2019 World Championships. Personal life Maria Holbură was born on 16 September 2000 in Constanța. Her father, Ioan Holbură, is a former wrestler. She began gymnastics at the age of five after a coach, Sorin Bechir, held a gymnastics audition in her kindergarten class. She left her home at age twelve to train in Deva. Holbură spends her free time painting. On painting, she stated, "I like it very much, sometimes I come upset from training because I didn't get anything, but when I get to the room I start painting and I pass. It relaxes me extraordinarily." The 2016 Olympic Gymnastics Test Event, known officially as Aquece Rio 2016, served as the final qualifier to the gymnastics events at the 2016 Summer Olympics, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Concerns and criticisms During the test event the FIG (International Gymnastics Federation) raised "serious concerns" regarding the state of preparations for the Summer Olympics. 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships was the forty-sixth edition of the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. The competition was held from 23 October – 1 November 2015 at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, United Kingdom, and is the first time that Scotland hosted the event. The competition served as a qualification for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Japan won the men's team all-around competition for the first time since 1978, and the United States won the women's team all-around title for the third straight time. In the individual all-around competitions, Kōhei Uchimura and Simone Biles won their sixth and third successive title, respectively. Qualifying in thirteenth place, team Romania failed to automatically qualify to the Olympic Games for the first time since 1966.
