Cathy Silvers
Cathy Silvers (born May 27, 1961) is an American actress and author. She is the daughter of actress Evelyn Patrick and actor/comedian Phil Silvers. She is best known for her role as boy-crazy teenager Jenny Piccolo in later seasons of the TV sitcom ''Happy Days''. She was a member of the cast of the 1985–86 sitcom ''Foley Square''. She also provided the voice of Marie Dodo, Big Bird's adoptive sister, in '' Sesame Street Presents: Follow That Bird''. As of August 2002, she was an announcer for the TV series ''SoapTalk'' on the cable station SoapNet. She is the author of the 2007 book ''Happy Days Healthy Living''. Herbert Ferber
Herbert Ferber (1906 – 1991) was an American Abstract Expressionist, sculptor and painter, and a "driving force of the New York School." Background Herbert Ferber Silvers was born on April 30, 1906, in New York City. In 1923, he began studies in both sciences and humanities at the College of the City of New York (now City College of New York or CCNY) from; in 1927, he received a BS from jointly from CCNY and Columbia University. In 1927, he took night classes in sculpture through 1930 at the Beaux-Arts Institute of Design ("affiliated in a kind of loose way with the Beaux Arts in Paris," Ferber later recalled) and then studied for six months at the National Academy of Design. That summer, he was awarded a scholarship to work at The Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation in Oyster Bay, New York. In 1930, he graduated in oral and dental surgery at Columbia. Louis "Lou" Silvers (''né'' Louis Silberstein; September 6, 1889 – March 26, 1954) was an American film score composer whose work has been used in more than 250 movies. In 1935, he won the first Academy Award for Best Original Score for ''One Night of Love''. Early life Silvers was born in New York City. Career Silvers scored the sound sequences in the D. W. Griffith film ''Dream Street'' (1921), and scored the part-talking feature film ''The Jazz Singer'' (1927). He was also music director for ''Lux Radio Theater'' for most of its long run (1934–1955). Phil Silvers (born Phillip Silver; May 11, 1911 – November 1, 1985) was an American entertainer and comedic actor, known as "The King of Chutzpah". His career as a professional entertainer spanned nearly sixty years. Silvers achieved major popularity when he starred in ''The Phil Silvers Show'', a 1950s sitcom set on a United States Army, U.S. Army post in which he played Master Sergeant Ernest (Ernie) Bilko. Albuquerque Silvers
The Albuquerque Silvers were an American basketball team based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, which was a member of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA). The team was coached by Norm Ellenberger, the former coach of the University of New Mexico men's basketball team. The franchise was run by P. Patrick McKernan who was also the president and general manager of the Pacific Coast League Albuquerque Dukes. The team was previously known as the Las Vegas Silvers, but was re-located to Albuquerque on February 10, 1983 by the CBA after the team owners failed to meet their financial obligation to the league. According to the CBA, Silvers owners Patrick Shimbashi and Ken Ford—who together owned 90 percent of the team—could not agree on a way to fund the team. The coho salmon (''Oncorhynchus kisutch;'' Karuk: achvuun) is a species of anadromous fish in the salmon family and one of the five Pacific salmon species. Coho salmon are also known as silver salmon or "silvers". The scientific species name is based on the Russian common name ''kizhuch'' (кижуч). Description During their ocean phase, coho salmon have silver sides and dark-blue backs. During their spawning phase, their jaws and teeth become hooked. After entering fresh water, they develop bright-red sides, bluish-green heads and backs, dark bellies and dark spots on their backs. Sexually maturing fish develop a light-pink or rose shading along the belly, and the males may show a slight arching of the back.
