Silentium
Silentium is a Finnish gothic metal band. The band was formed in 1995 and it originates from Jämsänkoski, Finland. Keyboardist Sami Boman and original vocalist Matti Aikio created Silentium by adding violin player Jani Laaksonen, guitar players Toni Lahtinen and Juha Lehtioksa and drummer Jari Ojala into the line-up of their previous band Funeral. Silentium's first demos and EPs were released in tape format, and their albums have only been released in Europe and some Asian countries, although Silentium's last single "Dead Silent" has been uploaded to some legal Finnish music websites for worldwide download. The addition of singer Riina Rinkinen to the band in 2006 was welcomed by Canadian and German reviewers. Seducia
''Seducia'' is the fourth studio album by the Finnish gothic metal band Silentium. The album was released in Finland on January 25, worldwide on January 27 and on April 23 in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. It is their first album featuring an appearance by female singer Riina Rinkinen. The album has so far spawned two singles: " Frostnight" and "Dead Silent". Critical reception The reviewer for the Canadian ''Exclaim!'' magazine wrote that the album presented both "bombasticism" and sensuality, but noted an occasional drag in the songs. The German edition of metal hammer ''Metal Hammer'' marked the production and musical quality of the album, and compared singer Rinkinen to Helen Vogt of Flowing Tears. Also the ''RockHard'' magazine lauded Riina Rinkinen's addition to the Personnel and noted that the band had now reduced the kitsch of previous releases. Jämsänkoski
Jämsänkoski is a former town and municipality of Finland in the Central Finland region. It is located near Lake Päijänne and the Jämsänjoki river. The town had a population of 7,351 in 2008. It covered an area of 448.67 km² of which 48.02 km² is water. The population density was 16.9 inhabitants per km². The municipality of Koskenpää was consolidated with Jämsänkoski in 1969, while Jämsänkoski was consolidated with Jämsä in 2009. History Linnasenmäki, the remains of an Iron Age hillfort, are located in the southern part of Jämsänkoski near the paper mill. The area may have had Stone Age settlement as well. Death is the irreversible cessation of all biological functions that sustain an organism.
