Sigvart Dagsland
Sigvart Dagsland (born 18 October 1963) is a Norwegian singer, pianist, and composer. Career Dagsland writes and performs in various genres, his more recent albums being pop-rock. He has recorded 18 albums and performs 30–50 concerts every year, and has sold over 450 000 copies of his records. He has been nominated to the Norwegian Spellemannsprisen three times in the pop genre, and was rewarded with Prøysenprisen in 2009. Dagsland was born in Stavanger in the southwestern part of Norway, and grew up in the Stokka district. He performed as a boy soprano in Stavanger Church Choir in the period 1975 to 1977 and as tenor in the Sentralkoret in 1978 to 1980. He holds a Master's degree in Law. In 2013 he did a series of Christmas concerts together with his wife Karoline Krüger, also resulting in the album ''Jul'' (2013). Sigvart Grini
Nils Sigvart Hansen Grini (19 February 1870 – 14 May 1944) was a Norwegian farmer and politician for the Agrarian Party. Biography He was born at Grini in Gjerpen as a son of farmers Hans Martin Danielsen Grini (1839–1907) and Anne Helvig Gulliksdatter (1845–1918). He was a brother of editor Daniel Grini. His niece married Sverre Kjeldstadli, and mothered Knut Kjeldstadli. He worked at the family farm for his entire life, having taken it over in 1907. He was a member of Gjerpen municipal council from 1904 to 1910 and 1913 to 1928, serving as mayor from 1925 to 1928. He served as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway from Telemark during the terms 1928–1930 and 1931–1933, and became a regular member from 1932 to 1933 while filling in for Jens Hundseid who was Prime Minister. Sigvart Wilhelm Theodor Werner (13 June 1872 – 2 September 1959) was a Danish amateur photographer who gained fame through his artistic landscape photographs, published in book form. Encouraged by the success of his early work ''Dyrehaven og Jægersborg Hegn'' (1919), between 1927 and 1940, he published a series of 15 photographic volumes, each covering one of the country's regions. Among the most popular were ''Bornholm'' and ''Nordsjælland''. He was so motivated by the national romanticism movement that he not only tried to present nature as it was but touched up his photographs whenever he could. Werner's photographs of Copenhagen present all the well-known sights and monuments in their very best light, including the Little Mermaid, the City Hall and the Tivoli Gardens. He is careful to avoid any shots of disadvantaged areas or untidy streets. If the prints are compared with the original negatives, it will be noticed that they have often been significantly altered.
