Sigrid Moldestad
Sigrid Terese Moldestad (born 19 July 1972, in Breim, Gloppen, Norway) is a Norwegian folk singer, musician, and instrumentalist who plays the fiddle as well as Hardanger fiddle. She performs solo or with Sigrid Moldestad and Band. She was also part of the duo Spindel and the trio Gamalnymalt. Career She is a graduate of Firda High School and Ole Bull-akademiet. She worked at the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) in the late 1990s in its regional Sogn og Fjordane offices and for NRK P3 from 1993–1999. She became a full-time freelance musician in 2000, and received a government scholarship grant in 2001–2002. Together with Unni Løvlid and Liv Merete Kroken, she started the stage and cabaret trio Fjøgl. They set up three performances in 2001–2004, among them they were of one of the draws at The international folklore festival in Forde 2001. Breim
Breim is a former municipality in the old Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. It is part of the traditional district of Nordfjord in the eastern part of the present-day Gloppen Municipality which is now in Vestland county. The municipality existed from 1886 until 1964. The administrative center was the village of Reed (sometimes called ''Re''). Breim municipality was located to the east of Gloppen, south of Stryn and the Utvik mountains, west of the Jostedalsbreen glacier, and north of Jølster. The municipality was centered on the lake Breimsvatn. Many of the inhabitants lived on the shores of the lake or in the large river valley extending east from the lake. Gjermund Larsen
Gjermund Larsen (born 29 July 1981 in Verdal, Norway) is a Norwegian traditional folk musician (violin) and composer, known from several bands and recordings. Career Larsen is a trained musician from the Ole Bull Academy at Voss, and the traditional folk music program at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. During his studies he joined the band Majorstuen, and contributed on several album releases, including ''Majorstuen'' awarded Spellemannprisen 2003. He collaborated within the Finnish-Norwegian band Frigg, Christian Wallumrød Sexstet, and with Odd Nordstoga and Maj Britt Andersen, as well as with the blues artist Reidar Larsen (2006). Tore Brunborg (born 20 May 1960) is a Norwegian jazz musician and composer who plays saxophone. He was born in Trondheim but grew up in Voss where a jazz environment was flowering. Known from numerous appearances with international greats including Bugge Wesseltoft, Håvard Wiik, Audun Kleive, Anders Jormin, Diederik Wissels, Arild Andersen, Pat Metheny, Per Jørgensen, Geir Lysne, Misha Alperin, Bjørn Alterhaug, Jan Gunnar Hoff, Jarle Vespestad, Jon Christensen, Jon Balke, Nils Petter Molvær, Vigleik Storaas, Bo Stief, and Billy Cobham. Career After playing with Knut Kristiansen and Per Jørgensen, Brunborg debuted at Vossajazz (1980, 1982).
