Signy Aarna
Signy Aarna (born 4 October 1990) is an Estonian footballer who plays as a forward for Finnish club Åland United and for the Estonia national team. She previously played for Finnish club Pallokissat and FC Lootos of the Estonian Naiste Meistriliiga. Club career From Ahja, Põlva County, Aarna started training with the youth team of FC Lootos as a goalkeeper in 2003. In 2005, 2007 and 2008 she won Estonian youth titles with the club's different age groups. FC Lootos In 2008, she started in FC Lootos' senior squad in the Esiliiga, the second level of women's football in Estonia. FC Lootos won the league and Aarna was the top scorer with 48 goals. From 2009 she played for FC Lootos in the top level Naiste Meistriliiga. She remains the club's most capped player with 121 games in all competitions and 166 goals in Estonian league and cup games. Ahja
Ahja is a small borough (') in Põlva Parish, Põlva County in southeastern Estonia. Named after the Ahja River, it is located 191 km southeast of Tallinn and about 16km north of Põlva. Ahja manor The earliest references to Ahja estate (german: Aya) are from 1553. It belonged to the Oxenstierna family in the 17th century but was later taken over by the Swedish state through one of the so-called reductions. In 1716, it was given to Christina Glück, the widow of Johann Ernst Glück, in whose family the future Catherine I of Russia grew up. The present two-storey, Baroque style building with a pavilion-shaped main entrance dates from the period of ownership of François Guillemot de Villebois, who was the son-in-law of Christina Glück. The Latvia women's national football team ( lv, Latvijas sieviešu futbola izlase) is governed by the Latvian Football Federation (LFF). It played its first international match in August 1993 against Sweden. After participating in the UEFA Women's Euro 1995 qualifying, Latvia withdrew from all qualification until the qualification for the European Championships in 2009. Latvia's record in international qualification games is poor. In their competitive games, Latvia lost their first two games, against Israel and Bosnia and Herzegovina by three goals, before losing by one goal to Armenia.
