King Xolilizwe KaZwelidumile (Mzikayise Sigcawu; 6 June 1926 – 31 December 2005) was the King of the Xhosa people from 10 April 1965 to 31 December 2005. King Xolilizwe was an active member of the National House of Traditional Leaders. He was the oldest son of King Bungeni Zwelidumile Sigcawu. Zwelonke Sigcawu
King Zwelonke (Mpendulo Calvin Sigcawu; 4 April 1968 – 14 November 2019) was a South African royal and King of the Xhosa people. He became king on 1 January 2006. Zwelonke was born at Nqadu Great Palace in Willowvale in the Eastern Cape to Xolilizwe Mzikayise Sigcawu and Nozamile. King Zwelonke Sigcawu had been king of the AmaXhosa since the death of his father, King Xolilizwe Sigcawu, in 2005. Death and funeral On the evening of 11 November 2019, the king was rushed to hospital in Mthatha by ambulance. King Zwelonke died in the early hours of 14 November 2019 at the age of 51.
