Lieres (or Santa Maria Lieres) is a parish in Siero, a municipality within the province and autonomous community of Asturias, in northern Spain. It encompasses and is situated at an altitude of above sea level. The population, as of 2006, was 1,542. The postal code is 33580. Its territory includes the Nora River, a tributary of the River Fal-Miravete. Located along the National Highway N-634, Lieres is from the capital of Siero, Pola de Siero, and from the town of Nava, Asturias. Hevia (Siero)
José Ángel Hevia Velasco, known professionally as Hevia (born October 11, 1967 in Villaviciosa, Asturias), is a Spanish bagpiper – specifically, an Asturian gaita player. He commonly performs with his sister, María José, on drums. In 1992 he was awarded first prize for solo bagpipes at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient, Brittany. Possibly his most recognisable composition is the 1998 piece ''Busindre Reel'', from his first album ''Tierra de Nadie''. Hevia is known for helping invent a special brand of MIDI electronic bagpipes, which he is often seen playing live. The instrument was developed with Alberto Arias (pupil and computer programmer) and the electronic technician Miguel Dopico. Two of Hevia's tracks, ''La Línea Trazada'' and ''El Garrotin'' (single release), appeared on the cross-platform video game '' Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense''. Feleches (variant: ''Thomas Feleches'') is a parish (administrative division) in Siero, a municipality within the province and autonomous community of Asturias, in northern Spain. It is situated at above sea level. The population is 797 (INE 2006). The postal code is 33119. Feleches is divided in two by the national highway N-634. The parish is serviced by the FEVE rail transport system. It is located from the capitol, Pola de Siero. To the east, the River Nora, a tributary of the River Fal-Miravete, separates Feleches from the Lieres parish. Collao is a parish (administrative division) in Siero, a municipality within the province and autonomous community of Asturias, in northern Spain. The parish is located on Highway AS-113.
