Siegfried Meier
Siegfried Meier (born August 9, 1977) is a musician, record producer, and recording, mixing and mastering engineer. Meier is known for his work in the genres of rock, metal, pop, and punk, producing and engineering for groups such as Face to Face, Kittie, Sectorseven, and Baptized in Blood. In 2013, Meier won a Juno award for Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year producing and engineering ''Woods 5: Grey Skies & Electric Light'' by Woods of Ypres. Meier is the owner of Ontario-based recording studio, Beach Road Studios. Early life Born in Oberviechtach, Germany, Meier moved to Canada at a young age. Johnny Francisco Araya Monge (born 29 April 1957) is a Costa Rican politician. He was the mayor of the country's capital San José from 1998 to 2001 and again since 2003. Baptized in Blood was a five-piece London, Ontario-based heavy metal band. They were managed by Dave Mustaine, the frontman of American thrash metal band Megadeth. In 2006, they independently released the EP ''Baptized in Blood''. In 2009, they independently released the album ''Gutterbound''. That led to their being signed to Roadrunner Records, in December 2009. They stayed with Roadrunner for three years, releasing one album, also called ''Baptized in Blood''. SectorSeven was a Canadian punk band from in Grimsby, Ontario, founded in 1992. Their name, which was originally two words, is taken from the 1969 science-fiction novel The Andromeda Strain. History The band began with Lee Williamson (guitar), Mike Burke (drums), Jon Gauthier (vocals, guitar), Brad Parent (bass) and Ryan Allan (guitar). In 1998, they released their first album, ''Comfort Zone'', on United Records. In 1999, they released ''Along the Way'', on Raw Energy Records. The album received airplay on college radio and was profiled on Edge 102's ''Indie Hour with Dave Bookman''. Face to Face is a punk rock band from Victorville, California, formed in 1991 by frontman Trever Keith, bassist Matt Riddle and drummer Rob Kurth. The band rose to fame with their 1995 album ''Big Choice'', featuring the radio hit " Disconnected" which received heavy rotation on KROQ radio in Los Angeles and appeared in the movies ''Tank Girl'' and ''National Lampoon's Senior Trip''. History The band started under the name Lynx when its members were elementary school students at Kettleby Public School in King Township, Ontario. David Karl William Wilcox (born July 13, 1949) is a Canadian rock musician. Early life Born in Montreal, Wilcox drew inspiration from musician Elvis Presley at the age of six. Wilcox soon picked up the guitar and began playing, having his first live performance (to a room of ex-convicts) at fourteen years old. Career In 1970, Wilcox replaced Amos Garrett in Ian and Sylvia Tyson’s band, Great Speckled Bird, playing backup for acts such as Anne Murray, Carl Perkins, and Charlie Rich.
