Adam Sieff
Adam Michael Sieff (born April 1954) is a British music consultant and former head of jazz for the UK and Europe for Sony Music. He was head of sales and marketing for Gearbox Records which specialises in the release of previously unheard jazz recordings. As of April 2017 he is creative consultant for Margate Jazz. He is the son of Teddy Sieff, the Marks and Spencer heir. Early life Adam Sieff was born in April 1954 to Joseph "Teddy" Sieff, president of the retailers Marks and Spencer, and his wife Lois Sieff. He was educated at Westminster School (1967–71) where his contemporaries included the journalist Tom Utley and Michael Zilkha, the co-founder of ZE Records. While at Westminster he was the lead guitarist in a band known as Jaded that was managed by the future British prime minister Tony Blair. Israel Sieff, Baron Sieff
Israel Moses Sieff, Baron Sieff (4 May 1889 – 14 February 1972) was an English businessman and Zionist who was chairman of the British retailer Marks & Spencer from 1964 to 1967. Early life and education He was born in Manchester, the son of Ephraim Sieff and Sarah Saffer. His father, a migrant from Lithuania, founded a prosperous textile business in Manchester. He was educated at Manchester Grammar School alongside Simon Marks, son of Marks & Spencer co-founder Michael Marks. For 63 years, he and Marks shared a close friendship that was cemented when each married the other's sister. He earned a degree in commerce at the University of Manchester. Sieff joined Simon Marks in Marks & Spencer in 1915 while also maintaining an interest in the Sieff family business. Joseph Sieff

He was chairman of retailer Marks & Spencer and honorary vice-president of the British Zionist Federation. Sieff worked at M&S for much of his career, as did his brother Israel Sieff. Teddy succeeded Israel as Chairman in 1967, serving until 1972. He was succeeded as Chairman by Israel's son Marcus Sieff. In 1973, Teddy Sieff survived an assassination attempt by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
