Sid Miller (politician)
Sidney Carroll Miller (born September 6, 1955) is an American politician from Stephenville, Texas. He is the Texas Agriculture Commissioner, serving since January 2015. He is a Republican. From 2001 to 2013, Miller served in the Texas House of Representatives for District 59 in central Texas, being unseated in the Republican runoff election held on July 31, 2012, by physician J. D. Sheffield. Early life and education Miller was born in De Leon, Texas. He graduated from De Leon High School. He received an Associate of Arts degree from Cisco Junior College and in 1978, received a Bachelor of Science in Vocational Agriculture Education from Tarleton State University. He operates a successful agricultural business known as Miller Nursery where he grows trees, shrubs and decorative plants near Stephenville, Texas. Sidney Miller III (born September 24, 1980), also known by his production name of Speakerbomb, is an American record producer and keyboardist. He was a founding member of the Los Angeles-based band Malbec, and was also a keyboardist in the hip hop group The Knux. He is currently a producing and writing as a member of The Sharpshootaz production/songwriting team, working with artists like Alex Jacke and Jesse McCartney. Sidney L. Miller (born Sid Miller; October 22, 1916 – January 10, 2004) was an American actor, director and songwriter. Biography Sidney Miller was born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania. His first acting role was in the movie '' Penrod and Sam'' (1931), although uncredited. In 1937, he made his radio debut on the ''Jack Benny Program'' episode "Christmas Shopping", as a man whom Benny mistakes for a department store floorwalker. The actor was also a regular performer on ''Cavalcade of America'', '' Suspense'' and '' Nightbeat''. Miller had a small, but memorable role, as would-be wrestling announcer Mo Kahn in MGM's '' Boys Town'' (1938), alongside Mickey Rooney. He reprised the character in the sequel, ''Men of Boys Town'' (1941).
