Sideswipe (Transformers)
Sideswipe is a fictional robot character in the ''Transformers'' franchise. Because of trademark restrictions, toys of the character are sometimes marketed as Side Swipe. Transformers: Generation 1 Sideswipe (sometimes'' 'Agujero in Mexico, Lambor in Japan, Frérot Québec, Freccia (meaning "arrow") in Italy, Csatár (meaning "striker") in Hungary) is described in his tech file as a brave but often rash warrior. He is almost as skilled as his twin brother Sunstreaker in combat, but is less ruthless. Sideswipe transformed into a red Lamborghini Countach, while his brother, Sunstreaker, transformed into a yellow Lamborghini Countach. Because of his jetpack, Sideswipe was one of few G1 Autobots with the ability to fly and capacity for space flight. ''The Transformers'' is an American animated television series that originally aired from September 17, 1984, to November 11, 1987, in syndication based upon Hasbro's ''Transformers'' toy line. The first television series in the ''Transformers'' franchise, it depicts a war among giant robots that can transform into vehicles and other objects. The series was produced by Marvel Productions and Sunbow Productions in association with Japanese studio Toei Animation for first-run syndication. Decepticons
The Decepticons are the main antagonists in the fictional continuities of the ''Transformers'' multimedia franchise. They are depicted as a faction of sentient robotic lifeforms led by Megatron, identified by a purple face-like insignia. Capable of transforming into alternate forms, these are often high tech or powerful vehicles; including aircraft, military vehicles, heavy equipment, ground combat vehicles, expensive luxury cars, sports cars and even smaller-than-human-sized objects. Patrick Lee (born June 28, 1975) is a Canadian comic book artist, publisher, former president, and co-founder of the now-defunct Dreamwave Productions. 2008-05-29. Biography After graduating high school at the age of 16, Lee began his career in the comic book industry by sending approximately 150 pages of sample artwork to uninterested Marvel and DC editors. It took over a year before he caught the attention of Image co-founder Rob Liefeld at a convention in Toronto, Canada in 1994. The Autobots are the main protagonists in the fictional continuities of the Transformers multimedia franchise, and are depicted in a collection of various toys, cartoons, films, graphic novels, and paperback books first introduced in 1984.
