Sid Couchey
Sid Couchey (May 24, 1919 – March 11, 2012) was an American comic book artist best known for his work on the Harvey Comics characters Richie Rich, Little Lotta and Little Dot. His style is known for big, friendly faces and a sharp sense of visual humor. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Couchey enrolled in the Landon School of Illustration and Cartooning, a correspondence course out of Cleveland. He continued to practice his craft on the back of his school papers. He cited Milton Caniff's ''Steve Canyon'', Alex Raymond's ''Flash Gordon'' and Howard Pyle among his influences. Comic strips Couchey graduated from the Art Career School and the Cartoonists and Illustrators School (which later became the School of Visual Arts), both located in New York City. John Byrne (comics)
John Lindley Byrne (; born July 6, 1950) is a British-born American writer and artist of superhero comics. Since the mid-1970s, Byrne has worked on many major superheroes; with noted work on Marvel Comics' ''X-Men'', ''She-Hulk'' and ''Fantastic Four''. Byrne also facilitated the 1986 relaunch of DC Comics' ''Superman'' franchise, the first issue of which featured comics' first variant cover. Coming into the comics profession as penciller, inker, letterer and writer on his earliest work, Byrne began co-plotting the ''X-Men'' comics during his tenure on them, and launched his writing career in earnest with ''Fantastic Four'' (where he also served as penciler and inker). Keeseville
Keeseville is a hamlet (and census-designated place) in Clinton and Essex counties, New York, United States. The population was 1,815 at the 2010 census. The hamlet was named after the Keese family, early settlers from Vermont. It developed along the Ausable River, which provided water power for mills and industrial development. Keeseville is in the towns of Au Sable and Chesterfield and is south of the city of Plattsburgh. It is located inside what are now the boundaries of Adirondack Park, which was authorized in the 20th century. On January 23, 2013, the town's selectboard voted to dissolve the village. As of 2016, the U.S. Census Bureau still had Keeseville listed as a village. Land Of Makebelieve
Land of Makebelieve was an amusement park located in the hamlet of Upper Jay, New York, United States. It was in operation from 1954 until 1979. The park was designed and built by Arto Monaco. In contrast to many more modern theme parks, Land of Makebelieve was a more low-key, whimsical attraction where children were encouraged to use their imagination. It allowed children to wander from place to place in the park as their whims guided them, without having to follow any sort of structured program or itinerary. As a park built strictly for children, parents were encouraged to just sit back and watch. Attractions and points of interest in the park were all built to half-scale, suitable for children age 12 and under. Arto Monaco (November 15, 1913 in Elizabethtown, New York – November 21, 2003 in Upper Jay, New York) was an artist, theme park designer, toy designer, and cartoonist. Arto is buried in Mountain View Cemetery located in Upper Jay. His mother was Ida Martin. He is the son of Louis B. Monaco, an Italian immigrant; Italian restaurant owner and entrepreneur. In 1941, he married Glad Burrell of Au Sable Forks, New York. Rockwell Kent helped him go to Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, he graduated in 1937.
