Sickotoy
Alexandru Cotoi (often simply Alex Cotoi) is a Romanian composer, producer and disc jockey signed by Global Records. Over the years, he has worked with several high-profile singers including Delia, Irina Rimes, Inna and Alexandra Stan. Under the pseudonym Sickotoy, he released the commercially successful songs "Addicted" and " You Don't Love Me" in 2019 with Minelli and Roxen, respectively, which reached the top three on the Romanian Airplay 100 chart. Early life and career Cotoi wrote his first songs in 2003. In October 2007, he formed the music group Sonichouse with Radu Dumitriu, Răzvan Gorcinski, and Victor Bourosu, having met while being part of and performing alongside Morandi. During his time as a member of Sonichouse, Cotoi adopted the nickname of Kotto. Sonichouse released their only album, titled ''Supersonic'', on 16 April 2011. "You Don't Love Me" is a song by Romanian producer Sickotoy, featuring the vocals of Romanian singer Roxen. Written by Minelli and composed by Sebastian Barac, Marcel Botezan and Sickotoy, it was digitally released by Global Records on 12 August 2019 as a single. An accompanying music video directed by Raluca Netca was uploaded to YouTube on 3 September 2019. Commercially, "You Don't Love Me" attained success, reaching number three in Romania and seven in Bulgaria. Roxen (singer)
Larisa Roxana Giurgiu (; born 5 January 2000), known professionally as Roxen (), is a Romanian singer who rose to prominence after being featured on Romanian producer Sickotoy's " You Don't Love Me" (2019), which reached number three in Romania and received radio airplay in several other countries. The singer's following singles, " Ce-ți cântă dragostea" and "Spune-mi", eventually peaked atop the national chart. Roxen was scheduled to represent Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with the song " Alcohol You" before the event's coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)-related cancellation. Instead, Roxen was internally selected as the country's representative for the 2021 contest with the song "Amnesia", but failed to progress from the first semi-final, finishing in 12th place. Luisa Ionela Luca (born 22 August 1988), known professionally as Minelli, is a Romanian Singing, singer and songwriter. Upon being part of the girl group Wassabi from 2006 to 2009, she rose to fame with her 2019 single "Mariola", which topped the Romanian Romanian music charts, Airplay 100 chart. Subsequently, in 2021, "Rampampam" became a hit in multiple territories. Life and career Minelli was born as Luisa Ionela Luca on 22 August 1988, and began singing at the age of 11, when she formed a band in her hometown. In 2004, she moved to Bucharest, and between 2006 and 2009, she was a member of the band Wassabi. Global Records is a Romanian independent record label founded in 2008 by Ștefan Lucian. History Global Records's first signed artist was Inna in 2008, whose career has been spanning over 10 years. She has released a series of international hits such as "Hot" (2008), "Sun Is Up" (2010), and " More than Friends" (2013) and recorded collaborations with performers including Daddy Yankee and J Balvin. In January 2020, the Romanian public television (TVR) announced a collaboration with the record label to select the Romanian representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020, with Roxen being selected with her track " Alcohol You". Elena Alexandra Apostoleanu (born 16 October 1986), known professionally as Inna (stylized in all caps), is a Romanian singer. Born in Mangalia and raised in Neptun, she studied political science at Ovidius University before meeting the Romanian trio Play & Win and pursuing a music career. She adopted the stage name "Alessandra" in 2008 and adopted a pop-rock style; later that year, she changed her stage name to "Inna" and began releasing house music. "Hot" (2008), her debut single, was a commercial success worldwide and topped the Romanian and ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Airplay chart, among others. ''Unlocked'' is the second studio album by Romanian singer-songwriter Alexandra Stan, released on 27 August 2014, by Victor Entertainment. Several collaborators are credited for the record's production, including Andreas Schuller, Sebastian Jacome, Chrishan Prince, Erik Lidbom, and Gabriel Huiban; songs were developed during the first Romanian international songwriting camp FonoCamp in 2013.
