Sick Individuals
Sick Individuals (stylized as SICK INDIVIDUALS) is a Dutch electronic dance music act consisting of Rinze "Ray" Hofstee () and Joep "Jim" Smeele (). The two met in Hilversum, Netherlands (2008) while studying Music Composition. Jim and Ray had been composing for television commercials until their mutual fascination for both classical and modern music inspired their business partnership in 2010, when Sick Individuals was born. Early in their careers, groups including Daft Punk, Bingo Players and the Swedish House Mafia influenced the duo. They have also produced with Axwell on the song "I Am", and with Dannic on "Blueprint" (both reached number one on Beatport) as well as remixing songs by Rihanna, Avicii, Icona Pop, Tiesto, Flo Rida and David Guetta. Their remix of Icona Pop – "I Love It" received a high level of support and recognition in the dance music industry. Jaarbeurs
The Jaarbeurs (; Dutch for 'Yearly Fair') is an exhibition and convention centre in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Noted events include the former Space '86, the Hobby Computer Club Days (''HCC Dagen''), and the Mega Record & CD Fair. The venue is also a regular base for music festivals like ASOT festival and Thunderdome. The Jaarbeurs extends to an area of 100.000 m² next to Utrecht Centraal railway station. The first Jaarbeurs was held in 1917. It was a major success from the start, opening up the city of Utrecht as a trade centre and giving it an economic boost. Stevie Appleton
Stephen Appleton (born in Surrey, England) is a British singer, songwriter and producer. At the age of fifteen, Appleton began playing piano in a Soho restaurant improvising jazz and playing covers from the likes of Elton John and Billy Joel. After graduating from a music college in London he was quickly signed by Spinnin’ Record’s based in The Netherlands, and recognised as one of their key writers. During his time there the label recognised his vocal and performing ability and, with Warner Music Group, released Appleton’s debut single “Supposed To Do”. Icona Pop ( ) is a Swedish electropop duo which formed in 2009, with electro house and indie pop music influences. Its two members, Caroline Hjelt (born 8 November 1987) and Aino Jawo (born 7 July 1986), grew up in Stockholm and create what the Swedish press has described as music which "you can both laugh and cry to at the same time". Beatport is an American electronic music-oriented online music store owned by LiveStyle. The company is based in Denver, Los Angeles, and Berlin. Beatport is oriented primarily towards DJs, selling full songs as well as resources that can be used for remixes. Established in 2004, the service was acquired in 2013 by Robert F. X. Sillerman's company SFX Entertainment for a reported price of slightly over $50 million. Daan Romers (; born 10 November 1985), better known by his stage name Dannic (stylized: DɅNNIC), is a Dutch DJ and EDM producer. He is known for his work in collaborations with Hardwell, Dyro, Sick Individuals, and publishes his music through the record label Revealed Recordings and his own label Fonk Recordings. Axel Christofer Hedfors (; born 18 December 1977), better known by his stage name Axwell, is a Swedish DJ, record producer, remixer and owner of Axtone Records. He is a member of Swedish House Mafia along with Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello. He is a two-time DJ Awards winner, and in 2013 he was placed 19th on the ''DJ Magazine'' Top 100 DJ Poll. Early life Axwell's interest in music appeared at an early age, having taught himself to play the drums by age nine.
