Sibeth Ndiaye
Sibeth Ndiaye (born 13 December 1979) is a French-Senegalese communications advisor who served as Government Spokeswoman under Prime Minister Édouard Philippe from 1 April 2019 to 6 July 2020. Early life and education Born in Senegal, her father was involved with the Senegalese Democratic Party and her German-Togolese mother was a high-ranking judge on the country's constitutional council. In 1995, she moved to France to study at the renowned Lycée Montaigne where she obtained a Baccalauréat in Science. She then studied at Paris Diderot University and Pantheon-Sorbonne University. Political career From 2002, Ndiaye was a member of the Socialist Party (PS). Alongside Ismaël Emelien, Stanislas Guerini and Benjamin Griveaux, she later formed part of Dominique Strauss-Kahn's campaign team for the party’s primaries ahead of the 2007 presidential election. 2007 French Presidential Election
Presidential elections in France, Presidential elections were held in France on 21 and 22 April 2007 to elect the successor to Jacques Chirac as President of the French Republic, president of France (and ''ex officio'' Co-Prince of Andorra) for a five-year term. As no candidate received a majority of the vote, a second round was held on 5 and 6 May 2007 between the two leading candidates, Nicolas Sarkozy and Ségolène Royal. The Élysée Palace (french: Palais de l'Élysée; ) is the official residence of the President of the French Republic. Completed in 1722, it was built for nobleman and army officer Louis Henri de La Tour d'Auvergne, who had been appointed Governor of Île-de-France in 1719. The 2017 French presidential election was held on 23 April and 7 May 2017. As no candidate won a majority in the first round, a runoff was held between the top two candidates, Emmanuel Macron of En Marche! The 2011 French Socialist Party presidential primary was the first open primary (''primaires citoyennes'') of the French Socialist Party and Radical Party of the Left for selecting their candidate for the 2012 presidential election. The filing deadline for primary nomination papers was fixed at 13 July 2011 and six candidates competed in the first round of the vote. Martine Louise Marie Aubry (; née Delors; born 8 August 1950) is a French politician. She was the First Secretary of the French Socialist Party (''Parti Socialiste'', or PS) from November 2008 to April 2012, and has been the Mayor of Lille (Nord) since March 2001; she is also the first female to hold this position.
