Alessandro Siani (born Alessandro Esposito on 17 September 1975) is an Italian actor, director, screenwriter and stand-up comedian. Life and career Born in Naples, Siani formed at the Tunnel Cabaret's acting laboratory in his hometown. In 1995, shortly after having won the "Charlot Prize" as best comedian, he decided to adopt the stage name Siani in honour of the journalist and camorra victim Giancarlo Siani. After being part of the comedy trio "A Testa in giù" and after having appeared in a number of variety shows, he got his first success in 2004 as a stand-up comedian with the stage show ''Fiesta''. Giancarlo Siani (; Naples, September 19, 1959, - Naples, September 23, 1985) was an Italian crime reporter from Naples, who was killed by the Camorra, the Neapolitan mafia. He started to write in the magazine ''Osservatorio sulla camorra'', and later as a stringer for ''Il Mattino'', the principal newspaper of Naples. He was assigned to the local area editor of Castellammare di Stabia. He wrote articles about the links between organized crime, politicians and construction contracts. Siani was executed in his soft top Citroën Méhari on September 23, 1985, in Naples by the Camorra, while approaching his apartment. He was killed by an assassination squad of at least 2 men who approached from behind and shot him 10 times in the head with 7.65mm small arms fire from at least 2 Beretta pistols. Giorgio Siani (born 9 January 1997) is an Italian footballer who plays mainly as a winger for Serie D club Villa Valle. Career Early career Siani was born in Milan in 1997, and began his career in the youth team of Serie A side Atalanta, located in Lombardy. Mike Siani (born May 27, 1950) is a former professional American football player who played wide receiver for nine seasons for the Oakland Raiders and Baltimore Colts. Career Siani was a high school football star with the New Dorp High School "Centrals", in New Dorp, Staten Island, New York City, New York, graduating in 1968. At New Dorp, Siani played for legendary coach Sal Somma. Somma and Siani have been inducted into the Staten Island Sports Hall of Fame. Siani attended Villanova University, where he not only played football but also excelled in baseball.
