is an editorial category of Japanese comics targeting an audience of adolescent females and young adult women. is a Japanese ''shōjo'' manga written by Yuu Watase. It appeared as a serial in the manga magazine ''Shōjo Comic''. The heroine's name (Alice), and her encounter with a white rabbit (Nyozeka) starts the storyline. Watase has written that she thought of ''Alice in Wonderland'', by Lewis Carroll, in drafting the characters of Alice Seno and Nyozeka. From there she drafted her own story. Plot Yamazaki Tanpopo moves from Hokkaidō to Tokyo in order to begin high school in an entirely new environment. When she goes to see her new school, Meio Academy, she meets a young man who is replanting a Tanpopo (dandelion) flower. At school the next day, Tanpopo is not only amazed by the modern facilities but also that she is in the same class as the young man she met the day before: Kugyou Kouki, the son of the owner of Meio. Set in Japan during the Edo period, it follows the life of Yusura, who as a baby, was found under a cherry tree with the "Kongoumaru" (a staff that turns blue when people are sad) by her side. Now fifteen years later, Yusura has become the "hikeshiya" (or "extinguisher of sorrow") and uses the Kongoumaru to 'absorb' people's sadness and hit it back at the people that caused it. ''Wild Act'' is a ten-volume romantic comedy manga series, written and illustrated by Rie Takada, and was the first of her series to be translated in English. It was translated by Tokyopop, who opted not to renew the license once it expired. Plot The story starts with a girl named Yuniko trying to steal an award because it was held by actor Akira Nanae. The actor who would receive it, Ryu Eba, finds out about her stealing it and tells her that she must steal it from him again. Then they start to fall in love. It was adapted as a 44-episode anime television series by Studio Hibari, and as a series of novels. The series tells the story of Aine Yukimura, a high school student who becomes the lyricist for a Japanese rock band, and her relationship with the band's lead singer, Sakuya Ookochi. To promote the anime, a real-life band was formed: Λucifer, the band the story focuses on. The rival band, e.MU, seems to have been active before the manga was created. Both bands continued after the anime ended before disbanding.
