Shygirl
Blane Muise (born May 4, 1993), better known by her stage name Shygirl, is an English rapper, DJ, singer, songwriter and co-head/founder of record label and collective Nuxxe. Shygirl's music incorporates elements of hip house, industrial hip-hop, grime and deconstructed club. She has also been associated with the hyperpop music scene. Shygirl rose to prominence after working with close collaborator and friend Sega Bodega, as well as other well-known experimental pop producers Arca and Sophie, and gaining attention from the likes of Rihanna, who has used various Nuxxe tracks for her Fenty Beauty commercials and fashion shows. Salvador Navarrete (born 16 February 1992), better known by his stage name Sega Bodega, is an Irish-Scottish music producer, singer, songwriter, DJ and co-head/founder of record label and collective Nuxxe. Sega Bodega is known for his futuristic, bass-heavy and leftfield takes on electronic and club music, fusing various elements of UK bass and hip-hop music, deconstructed club, and trip hop music into his songs. He has also been heavily associated with the hyperpop music scene. He rose to prominence producing tracks for London-based rapper, co-founder of the Nuxxe label and close collaborator Shygirl, gaining attention from the likes of Rihanna, using various Nuxxe tracks for her Fenty Beauty commercials and fashion shows. Alias (EP)
''Alias'' is the second extended play by British rapper and singer Shygirl. The EP was released on 20 November 2020 through Because Music and Shygirl's own label Nuxxe. Following her 2018 debut EP ''Cruel Practice'', ''Alias'' sees Shygirl enlist a diverse array of collaborators, including NUXXE co-founder Sega Bodega, Gloo's Kai Whiston, Oscar Scheller, Karma Kid, and the late producer Sophie. The EP received critical acclaim upon its release. Promotion "Freak" was released as the first single from the on 2 September 2020 alongside a self-directed music video made in collaboration with CGI artist Maurice Anderson and 3D modeller Sy Blake. ''Nymph'' is the debut studio album by British rapper and singer Shygirl. It was released on 30 September 2022 on vinyl, CD, cassette and digital download, through Because Music. The album was announced alongside the release of its lead single "Firefly" on 10 May 2022. The second single "Come for Me" was released on 7 June 2022. Marylou Mayniel (born 23 April 1993), better known by her stage name Oklou (ˈəʊˈkeɪ luː), is a French musician, singer, music producer, DJ, composer, and actress. Alejandra Ghersi Rodríguez (born 14 October 1989), known professionally as Arca, is a Venezuelan musician and record producer based in Barcelona, Spain. She initially began releasing music under the name of Nuuro. Chloe Erika Jane Olivié, known by her stage name Coucou Chloe or Coucou Chloé, is a French music producer, singer and DJ, living in London. Biography Olivié grew up in Biot, a village in the south of France. As a child she played a lot of piano, having been given one by her grandparents.
