"Shut Down" is a song by South Korean girl group Blackpink that was released on September 16, 2022, through YG Entertainment and Interscope Records as the second single of the group's second studio album, '' Born Pink''. Described as a hip hop-based track with strings, the song was written by Teddy, Danny Chung, and Vince and composed by Teddy and 24. "Shut Down" was a commercial success and became Blackpink's second number-one hit on the ''Billboard'' Global 200. In sound and music, sampling is the reuse of a portion (or sample) of a sound recording in another recording. Samples may comprise elements such as rhythm, melody, speech, sounds or entire bars of music, and may be layered, equalized, sped up or slowed down, repitched, looped, or otherwise manipulated.
