Shun Lee
Shun Lee () is an area north of Sau Mau Ping and east of Ngau Chi Wan in Hong Kong. The area was originally known as Rennie's Farm. It is later named after the first public housing estate in the area, Shun Lee Estate. It is also known as Sze Shun (四順, i.e. ''Four Shun'') as there are ''four'' estates with name starting with ''Shun'' in 2006. Before any urban development, the rural area belonged to the rural district of Ngau Chi Wan. Later, it was also once considered an extension of Ngau Tau Kok. After the establishment of District Boards of Hong Kong, the area is administratively under Kwun Tong District. Geography The area is a valley surrounded by hills. A main river flowed from Custom Hill and joined another river from Kowloon Peak and emptied into Kowloon Bay via Jordan Valley. Home Ownership Scheme
The Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) is a subsidised-sale public housing programme managed by the Hong Kong Housing Authority. It was instituted in the late 1970s as part of the government policy for public housing with two aims – to encourage better-off tenants of rental flats to vacate those flats for re-allocation to families in greater housing need; and also to provide an opportunity for home ownership to families unable to afford to buy in the private sector. Under the scheme, the government sells flats to eligible public housing tenants and to lower-income residents at prices below the market level, with discounts usually between 30 and 40 per cent. It restricts resale of the units in the second-hand market to other families who qualify or, on the open market, after payment of a premium equal to the updated value of the discount given on the original purchase. Shun Tin Estate
Shun Tin Estate () is a public housing estate in Shun Lee, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It comprises 11 residential blocks completed in 1981, 1983 and 1989 respectively. History The estate, reportedly the 105th built by the Housing Authority, began admitting tenants in late 1981. Some came from the old Lei Cheng Uk and Kun Tong estates, making way for redevelopments and improvements there. On 21 July 1986, a HK$24.8 contract was awarded to construct a secondary school at Shun Tin Estate. On 10 October 2015, a 58-year-old man was attacked after disputing with a 46-year-old man at Man Shun Restaurant in Tin Kuen House of Shun Tin Estate. He was rushed by an ambulance to United Christian Hospital in unconscious state and was later transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment. Shun On Estate () is a public housing estate in Shun Lee, Kowloon, Hong Kong near On Tai Estate, Shun Lee Estate, Shun Tin Estate and Shun Lee Tsuen Sports Centre. It consists of three residential blocks completed in 1978 and 1980 respectively.
