Bill Shuey (born October 5, 1974) is an American football coach and former defensive back who is the outside linebackers coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as an assistant coach for the Chicago Bears, Widener Pride, West Chester Golden Rams, and Philadelphia Eagles. Shuey played college football at Slippery Rock and spent four seasons in minor leagues with the Pittsburgh Colts and Lehigh Valley Panthers. Early life and education Shuey was born on October 5, 1974, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and attended Liberty High School. Juniper Shuey (born 1974) is a Seattle-based visual artist, known for his video installations and sculptural performance. He is the Co-Artistic Director of zoe, juniper and is the Head Carpenter at the University of Washington Meany Hall. Since establishing himself in the late 1990s he has continued to gain a professional reputation for his works. Background and recognition Prior to his involvement in the visual arts, Shuey spent three years at Emerson College in Boston studying theatrical set design. Luke Shuey (born 2 June 1990) is an Australian rules footballer and the captain of the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). Shuey was recruited from the Oakleigh Chargers with pick 20 in the 2008 National Draft. After a series of injuries, he made his AFL debut during the 2010 season. He was runner-up in the AFL Rising Star award in 2011. Shuey won the John Worsfold Medal as West Coast's best and fairest player in 2016, and again in 2019, and finished third in the award in 2014 and 2017. Paul Kenneth Shuey (born September 16, 1970) is an American former professional baseball player. Primarily a relief pitcher, Shuey pitched in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Cleveland Indians (1994–2002), Los Angeles Dodgers (2002–2003) and Baltimore Orioles (2007). Shuey was honored as an All-American as a college baseball pitcher for the North Carolina Tar Heels baseball team. The Indians selected Shuey with the second overall selection of the 1992 MLB draft. Envisioned as a comparable pitcher to Cincinnati Reds closer Rob Dibble, Shuey had more success as a setup reliever than closer. Injuries sidelined Shuey throughout his career, preventing him from becoming a closer. When healthy, he enjoyed success with the Indians as a setup pitcher.
