The Shubert Organization is a theatrical producing organization and a major owner of theatres based in Manhattan, New York City. It was founded by the three Shubert brothers in the late 19th century. Personal life Jacob's father was Sir Jack Jacob, a Senior Master of the High Court who is well-known for editing the White Book on civil procedure in the UK. Fern H. Shubert is a former Republican member of the North Carolina General Assembly representing the state's thirty-fifth Senate district, including constituents in Mecklenburg and Union counties. An accountant from Marshville, North Carolina, Shubert served in the State House from 1994 to 1998 and again from 2000 to 2002.
